Whitney Way Thore Is Still In Love, With Who?
Whitney Way Thore has opened up about her love life, turning 40, and the possibility of having a baby. However, she seems to be stuck on a certain someone from her past and doesn’t seem capable of moving on. Admittedly, the My Big Fat Fab Life star says she’s in the “throes of a midlife crisis,” but how is that going to impact her search for love? Keep reading to see what she has to say.
Whitney Way Thore Is Still Is Love With The Frenchman
During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Whitney Way Thore spoke about her breakup with the man viewers know as the Frenchman. The My Big Fat Fabulous Life star said that she is still in love with him, but she knows it would never work.
She shared that they broke up a year ago in April, but she’s had a hard time getting over him. “He’s the best. He’s the best man I’ve ever known,” Whitney said.
If that’s true, then why didn’t things work out? Whitney says it is due to her living much of her life in the spotlight. “Unfortunately, this is one of these things that comes with reality TV, which is, I’d say, one of the negatives,” she told ET. “He does not want a public life at all.”
In the end, Whitney Way Thore said that he saw the way some people acted on the internet toward her, and “he was done.” While she is still admittedly heartbroken over the lost love, she is attempting to put herself back into the dating world. That hasn’t been without its challenges though. Obviously, she’s still hung up on the Frenchman, but the TLC star says that dating in her hometown isn’t all it’s cracked up to be either.
“The dating sites are pretty abysmal in Greensboro… There’s just not a lot to pick through,” she said. “Especially when you have this other person, this other relationship that you love so much, it’s really hard to get excited about dating. But I do not want to be alone forever, [so I’m] trying to put in the work to meet a man.”
My Big Fat Fab Life Star Wants To Focus On Three Things
Whitney continued, saying that she often jokes about being desperate for a man, but she wishes she was desperate. “If I were truly desperate, I could have somebody. But I’m not. I know what I want. I know what I deserve,” she said.
The My Big Fat Fab Life star also spoke about turning 40. She said that she has dealt with society’s standards as far as her weight goes for most of her life. Despite their judgments, she has been able to be confident in herself. Turning 40 was different for her though. “I think that, regardless of how I feel about it, society has certain expectations of a 40-year-old woman and what her life is like,” she said.
Additionally, Whitney Way Thore has been considering her fertility recently. She said that she has been mourning the fact that having children may not happen for her. The TLC star said that she has had to try to come to terms with that and joked, “I’m not ready to get another cat at this point.”
Looking forward, Whitney said that her priorities are going to be finding a zest for life, a relationship, and her family. Viewers will get to see some of her dating efforts play out in the new season of My Big Fat Fab Life.
