Whitney Way Thore Has Memorial Service For Beloved Baby
Whitney Way Thore has been proactive about a few core things. She is trying to find love and have a baby, all while attempting to get her weight under control. The My Big Fat Fabulous Life star has long explored her best options to expand her family, but it is not always easy. She knows that her health could be a factor, plus she is in her early forties. If it is going to happen, she needs to do it soon, although she is not against adoption. Unfortunately, she has one baby that she needs to say goodbye to, and it is very heartbreaking.
In tonight’s episode of MBFFL, Whitney will say her final farewell to her beloved cat, Henchi. He was her faithful companion for seventeen years, but sadly passed away in January 2025. Losing an animal can be just as hard as losing a loved one, as they adore unconditionally. Henchi’s big obsession was plastic, and he adored anyone who gave him some. Therefore, Whitney has asked everyone in attendance to bring a piece of plastic for Henchi. Whit’s father, Glenn, brought bubble wrap and noted that he and his late wife, Babs, adored the little love.
Admittedly, it was their favorite cat, so that is extremely heartbreaking. Glenn also noted this about Henchi and his relationship with Babs:
“He’d like to lay on the pillow behind Babs’ head, and she loved that cat so dearly.”
Whitney Way Thore’s brother, Hunter, remembered the cat comically, stating that he looked mad regardless of his mood. Everyone in attendance brought amazing offerings for Henchi, and it was sweet to see how much they loved and cared for him.
The MBFFL Community Mourns The Loss
My Big Fat Fabulous Life fans knew of Henchi and understood Whitney Way Thore’s heartbreak. They felt awful that he had passed; some had no idea. However, there were a few who felt this funeral was taking it to the next level. They could not understand why reality stars do this with their animals, but it is just how she chooses to grieve. Of course, some felt that Henchi and Whitney’s mom were finally reunited, which was beautiful:
