It is nothing new for Kody to be accused of spending too much time with Robyn and her children. While the father of 18 has denied this, cast members and fans noticed he prioritized some family members over others. The choice to live primarily with Robyn has caused friction within the family, leaving many of his older children on the outs with their father. A perfect example of Kody’s accusations of parental alienation came during a recent episode when he chose not to help his daughter Ysabel move to college. Instead, he played the victim, sharing he felt “broken.”

Kody Brown Won’t Take Blame For Bad Parenting

Kody recently shared that he doesn’t feel the situation is his fault. A recent episode of Sister Wives showed Christine having to tell her youngest daughter, Truely, about the divorce. When Kody went to Christine’s home the next day, he was surprised at how calm Truely was about the divorce news. In a confessional, Kody shared that he feels Christine has been painting a narrative about him being a bad parent.

Over the years, Sister Wives fans have noticed that Kody has done very little work when it comes to maintaining his relationships with his children. In the past, he noted he had done a lot of work to “draw” his children out and into the conversation, but he often feels like he does most of the work. Viewers think his perspective is a little off since it is never the children’s job to uphold a relationship with their parents.
