BIG NEWS Steve Burton Confirms His New Relationship with Netflix’s“ BBQ Showdown” Star
If you haven’t heard the news, Steve Burton is now a taken man. The General Hospital star recently opened up about his new relationship with Michelle Lundstrom. This comes two years after Burton confirmed his split from his ex-wife Sheree. Here is everything he has revealed about his budding romance so far.
Steve Burton Is Dating Netflix BBQ Showdown Competitor
Daily Drama shared photos of Steve Burton and his new gal this week. The pair appeared to be getting cozy while taking a walk in New York City. The snapshots showed Michelle Lundstrom holding onto Burton’s hand and leaning on his arm as they walked along. In the background, they appeared to be cuddled up near the skyline of the Empire State Building.
After the photos were shared by the outlet, Burton confirmed that he is in a relationship with the Netflix BBQ Showdown competitor.
Lundstrom competed in Season 2 of BBQ Showdown on Netflix. Since appearing in the competition, she has been mainly focused on creating content for social media. She often shares food posts and original recipes on Instagram and TikTok.
The news of Steve Burton’s relationship comes two years after the actor announced his split from Sheree Burton.
Burton’s Divorce & His Return To Port Charles
In May 2022, he took to Instagram Stories to address the news of Sheree’s pregnancy. “I wanted to clear something up. Sheree and I are separated,” he wrote. “She recently announced that she’s expecting her 4th child. The child is not mine. We are still co-parenting our three beautiful kids. We would appreciate privacy at this time. Much luv, Steve.”
Two months after that, it was confirmed that the Daytime Emmy Award-winning actor filed for divorce from Sheree Burton, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split. In December 2023, the terms of the divorce were finalized and he was ordered to pay $12,500 per month in child support. This amount was reduced to $10,000 per month in April 2024.
After his divorce was settled, Steve Burton announced his departure from Days Of Our Lives. “I just shot my final scenes here at Days of Our Lives,” he stated in a video on social media. “I just want to say thank you so much to the cast [and] to the crew. Everybody. It’s been amazing.”
Then, on March 4, Burton reprised his role of Jason Morgan on General Hospital after being off the daytime soap opera for three years. The last time fans saw Jason, he was trapped in a collapsed tunnel, but it seems he’s made his way back to Port Charles.
“It was incredible going back,” he said about returning to the soap. “Just the welcome back from everybody on the lot, starting with the people at the gate. It was amazing.”
Now, it seems he is making a comeback in his love life too.
