Spencer comes back just in time for Trina to fall in love with Gio – General Hospital Spoilers
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that fans have certainly been talking about the addition of Giovanna Mazza (Giovanni “Gio” Mazza) to the cast – especially now that Gio has gotten Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) attention.
Trina was downright entranced by Gio’s violin skills during his audition at the gallery in the June 14 episode.
It made Trina realize that Gio was a real artist and someone she could perhaps relate to.
Now it looks like Trina and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) are going to be living in the apartment above the Quartermaine garage.
Since Gio lives at the Quartermaine mansion, he’ll no doubt be spending more time with Trina soon.
Of course, Trina is still grieving the loss of Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) and won’t fall head over heels for Gio overnight.
This is sure to be a long journey, but all signs point to Trina eventually letting go of Spencer and learning to love again.
However, just when it looks like Trina and Gio might live happily ever after, that’s when Spencer could make the comeback Trina never expected!
Although Nicholas Alexander Chavez has left the role of Spencer behind, there’s always a chance he might return down the road.
That said, the more likely option is that the show will eventually find the right actor to replace Chavez and play a Spencer recast.
Naturally, GH doesn’t seem to be in any hurry – probably because they know they’ve got Gio and can play this new love story with Trina for a while.
It makes sense to have Trina slowly open her heart back up and set the stage for some complications when Spencer returns with a brand-new face.
Many “Sprina” fans aren’t happy about the Gio and Trina romance that’s seemingly developing, but it could turn out to be a good thing in the end.
Spencer’s return will be even more dramatic if Trina has moved on with another guy when he comes back into the picture.
It could give Trina the opportunity to ultimately choose Spencer over Gio and allow true love to conquer all.
Likewise, heartbroken Gio might lean on Josslyn or someone else once that happens, so this could open the door to new stories for him, too.
Bottom line, Trina and Gio’s romance certainly doesn’t mean the show’s forgotten about Spencer. I
t just means that they’re going in a different direction right now, but there could be all kinds of soapy complications once Spencer turns up alive.
