General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Ava Jerome (Maura West) will continue to manipulate Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) emotions and make him believe she’s the only person he can trust. Things are working out well for Ava – at least when it comes to her efforts to pull Sonny closer.
Ava lost a friend when she betrayed Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), but she was still rewarded with Nina’s signed divorce papers.
Those will allow Sonny to put Nina behind him and perhaps go all in with Ava.
It’s easy to imagine Ava dropping hints about Sonny needing a powerful woman by his side – someone who understands how his business works and won’t ever be horrified by how he handles it.
Ava might also contend that Sonny needs the stability of a wife when it comes to how he presents himself to his enemies.
Of course, Ava could play up her own family’s mob roots and act like she’s the perfect fit.
Maybe Ava will insist that together, they could be a force to be reckoned with in Port Charles.
Nina had Madison (Virgina Ma) box up her wedding ring set and send it to Sonny’s address, so Ava may be there when Sonny opens that special delivery.
That could be a good time for Ava to start subtly laying the groundwork for her own marriage to Sonny.
Ava might tell Sonny she’s sorry and trash Nina for not being the kind of woman Sonny could count on.
Perhaps Ava will argue that Sonny will find a better wife one day and add that she’d be proud to wear his ring on her finger.
Plus, GH spoilers say Sonny is set to attend Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Harrison Chase’s (Josh Swickard) upcoming nuptials.
Whether Sonny brings Ava or not, all the wedding hoopla could get him thinking it might be a good idea to marry Ava next.
Will Sonny’s potential marriage proposal thrill Ava and leave her ready to replace Nina as his new mob wife?
Anything can happen while Sonny’s meds are altered and driving him to make impulsive decisions.
It’ll take some time to finalize Sonny’s divorce, but he could still get the ball rolling on another wedding in the meantime.
