‘Sister Wives’ Why Season 19 May Be The Worst Season Yet
Sister Wives Season 19 is just around the corner. While many TLC viewers are eager to catch up with the Brown family, several are also incredibly concerned about the upcoming season’s content.
As viewers know, Garrison Brown tragically took his own life this previous spring. Many fans hope production will handle the situation with sensitivity and care, but Sister Wives is well-known for its explosive drama. Anything could happen.
And on top of that, it’s all but certain Sister Wives Season 19 will follow Meri and Janelle’s decision to part ways with Kody.
Can production tell these stories tactfully, or will it all blow up in TLC’s face?
Sister Wives Season 19 Will Explore Many Tough Topics
It’s no secret that the dynamics in the Brown family have been turbulent for a while. But for the first 18 seasons of the show, Sister Wives followed the family members’ lives together. Now that Kody Brown only has one wife, what will the show look like?
During Season 18, Christine filmed her confessionals from her home in Utah while the rest of the Browns filmed theirs in Flagstaff. Now, the family is completely fractured. So can they film together at all?
“While their relationships have been the focal point of the past, with Kody and his three original wives having split up, it will be odd to see them apart. I feel Sister Wives season 19 will suffer with the family having more isolated storylines,” Cher Thompson writes for ScreenRant.
Thompson also notes that Kody’s ex-wives have all moved on with their lives and thrown themselves into different projects. Christine remarried, Meri is dating around, and Janelle is focusing on herself and her hobbies.
Chaos and drama are always a focal point in Sister Wives. But since the wives aren’t with Kody any longer, they all seem to be much happier.
Fans Aren’t Sure About Garrison’s Storyline This Year
Sister Wives viewers watched Garrison Brown grow up on the show. From watching him fight with his brothers as a little boy to growing up and joining the National Guard, fans really felt like they knew him.
Learning about his death was already painful enough for fans and they aren’t quite sure they want to watch it all unfold onscreen — especially if TLC doesn’t handle the situation with tact and care. In the past, fans expressed anger at the production team for exploiting Garrison’s difficult situation with his father. Absolutely no one wants to see Garrison’s memory tarnished for the sake of viewers.
