‘Sister Wives’ ‘Sadistic’ Side To Kody Brown On Full Display, Preview
While the Brown family is falling apart at the seams, Kody Brown has reared his “sadistic” side in the latest preview for Sister Wives Season 19. As the family goes through the major transition away from plural marriage, the stress brings out a different side of Kody.
Kody Brown Watches The Family Turn
During the newest preview for Sister Wives Season 19, there are plenty of explosive interactions ahead. But one of the big scenes on display is Meri and Kody Brown sitting down to hash out their relationship. While Meri is ready to move on, they are confronting the elephant in the room, Kody saying he never loved her. Meri lets several people know that she and Kody’s marriage is officially over. In one segment Kody says, “What did I do to deserve this?” Furthermore, he questions, “What did I do wrong?” Meri says, “I’m not your wife anymore.” Kody bluntly tells Meri he regrets ever marrying her. However, the conversation continues with Kody telling Meri to blame herself for his lack of love. Notably, during the interaction, fans spot very “sadistic” behavior.
‘Sadistic’ Side To Kody Brown On Full Display
On Reddit, Sister Wives fans pick up on Kody Brown showing his “sadistic” side. First, a user says, “Kody’s Sadistic Pleasure.” Then, they elaborate, “THIS MADE ME SO ANGRY 😡 ( it’s 2:08 in the YT S19 trailer).” Additionally, they add a screenshot from the preview of Kody smiling during the conflict with Meri Brown. Furthermore, they say, “This pic proves that Kody literally ENJOYS evoking emotional trauma in others, this little smile is proof when Meri sits forward and is sternly saying he’s full of BS. No normal person smiles in satisfaction during an argument/serious conversation.”
Backing up their statements, they give reasons for his intentions. Saying, “Reasons why he does this:
- Kody derives a twisted sense of pleasure/satisfaction from witnessing others’ pain and suffering; which makes him feel powerful or invulnerable.
- Kody seeks validation through the emotional reactions he provokes in others. This way, Kody can feel more important or influential, reinforcing his inflated sense of self-worth
- Kody has a deep need for power and control over others. By causing emotional distress, Kody feels a sense of dominance/superiority, which feeds his ego.
- Kody has deep-seated insecurities. By inflicting emotional trauma on others, he projects his own internal struggles onto his victims, making others feel the pain he himself cannot or will not acknowledge.
Side note: Janelle throwing back that shot was everything!! 😁.”
Other Fans Give Their Opinions
After the initial post was made, several other Sister Wives viewers talked about how Kody Brown was acting in the preview.
- “Look at how much delight and glee he has seeing Meri upset. Absolutely sickening. Now compare this picture to when Christine went full grey rock and showed him no emotion/ reactions. That drove him INSANE, no smug smile then.”
- “Yep, classic narcissist reactions. Christine’s therapist did good work there.”
- “For sure he take complete pleasure in hurting these ladies (specifically Meri…repeatedly) …it’s also why he and his wife make such a compatible evil couple. Robyn enjoyed sh*tting on those ladies just as much…she was just covert about it unlike her a** puppet husband.”
Fans Notice Other Points About Kody Brown
Notably, Kody Brown is processing several divorces at once. Undeniably, his true colors seem to be coming out as he goes through the discussion with each of his former wives.
- “That would explain why we went full meltdown on Christine. He couldn’t get a rise out of her. So Robyn and Kody tried another way to provoke her. By telling her she doesn’t have permission from their church to leave. Telling her the marriage isn’t broken if you two would just talk. Kody agreeing that Christine was being irrational. She still didn’t give him that satisfaction of blowing up and, watching him get off on it.”
- “He even complained that Christine was acting happy and giddy about the divorce, during their discussion. She was neutral with flat affect. He’s got that wonky narc perception.”
They Were In Love
After someone shared screenshots of Kody Brown talking about loving Meri, other fans added to the conversation.
- “They should make him read this out loud.”
- “If we had a legit tell all they would roll tape on all the nonsense he spouts.Sir, we have 18 seasons of receipts”
- Another viewer thinks change is on the horizon, “I’m not sure if it’s true but I saw somewhere that maybe a new show runner took over. Maybe we’ll finally get a real Tell All at the end. I want all the receipts in his face and no more of this separate interviews only crap.”
- “If he didn’t love her at the beginning then he deserves an Emmy for that performance. Even in the pictures of them as a young married couple they always looked happier than any of the other wives and Kody together. The hill I will die on is that had Kody and Meri been married and worshipped in the mainstream LDS church, they could have made their marriage work. They could have gone through the fertility struggles together as a unit. And put the time and effort a real marriage needs.”
Watch the new season on Sunday, September 15th on TLC at 10/9c. Then, stream it later on Max.
