Something Robyn Brown said recently has fans of TLC’s Sister Wives scratching their heads with confusion. Kody Brown’s only remaining wife revealed the secret to her friendship with Meri. She claims they bonded over trauma. The question is: What trauma is she referring to?
Sister Wives Robyn Brown Claims She Suffered Trauma
In a new thread on Reddit, one fan decides to ask fans what their thoughts were on Robyn’s trauma. The OP of the thread pens:
“Robyn said they’re close because they bond over their trauma of what has happened. I understand maybe Meri and her trauma of being abandoned by her husband but what is Robyns trauma?”
One fan chimed in to clarify that Meri Brown likely was “trauma bonded” to Robyn. This, however, wasn’t because Robyn suffered any sort of trauma. The Sister Wives fan proceeded to explain Meri was the one who suffered trauma. She was emotionally abandoned by her husband Kody. Meri Brown also struggled emotionally with not being able to have more children.
These two very traumatic truths caused Meri Brown to trauma bond with Robyn and her children.
Digging a bit deeper, fans agreed that Robyn Brown never suffered any sort of trauma. It, however, was an idea she enjoyed pitching so she could paint herself as a victim alongside Meri.
One fan explained: “It’s called trauma bonded because Meri was abandoned emotionally and Robyn watched her be abandoned and did nothing to help Meri. They have nothing in common except that Meri was bonded with her kids.”

Sister Wives Fans Troll Robyn
Now, many fans have taken to this Reddit thread to toss potential sources of Robyn’s trauma. Unfortunately for the TLC star, this was NOT something fans were taking very seriously. In fact, it quickly turned into a bit of a roasting session. Here’s some of what fans said:
- “The difficulty of finding pants that are the appropriate length for her long legs! It’s quite traumatic when only one store carries what you need.”
- “Her family getting blown to smithereens. And she never got a reason!”
At the end of the roast session, most fans agreed Meri Brown did experience a fair amount of trauma married to Kody. In fact, fans argued anyone probably would. They, however, believe Robyn is the true villain of the story. And, they just aren’t buying she ever suffered any trauma that connected her to Meri in the way she claims it did.
