Sister Wives star Kody Brown is damaging his marriage with Robyn Brown amid his breakup with Christine, Meri, and Janelle. The Brown family has been through a lot of chaos in the past few years. However, it wasn’t until Sister Wives season 18 that the cast truly experienced the biggest drama of their lives. During the latest Sister Wives: One on One, Kody and his three former wives gave their honest opinions after the breakups. Kody revealed that he only loved Robyn and none of the other wives. Christine shared Meri’s big secret about the ring. Janelle disclosed the one thing that could’ve saved her relationship with Kody.
People recently shared a sneak peek of the third part of Sister Wives: One on One, in which Robyn spoke about her marriage with Kody. The Brown family matriarch claimed Kody is “self-sabotaging” because he’s “angry” about his breakups with Janelle, Meri, and Christine. She sobbingly revealed, “He picks fights with me,” adding that he tries to create drama over “dumb things.” Robyn shared that she and her husband were in “different places” after the implosion of their polygamous family. She explained that while she’s mourning the exit of her sister wives, Kody is excessively angry about the failure of his plural marriages.
Sister Wives’ Kody Brown Reveals Why He’s Sabotaging Robyn Marriage
Like Robyn, Kody also shared his two cents on the whole situation. He told the reunion host, Sukanya Krishnan, it’s true that he’s “self-sabotaging” out of “frustration and anger.” The Brown family patriarch admitted, “I wanted to punish myself,” adding that he even thought about leaving Robyn and finding another “lover” just to break her heart and say he didn’t love her either. Kody cursed at himself, saying he was a “piece of s***” for the way he’s managing his new monogamous relationship with Robyn. Kody regretted his behavior towards Robyn and added, “There are some things in a man’s mind that should never be expressed.”
It’s heartbreaking to see Robyn cry over and over again in her relationship with Kody. When she joined the Brown family in 2010, she was excited to be in a plural marriage. She openly welcomed Meri, Janelle, and Christine into her life, hoping they’d form a wonderful future together. Unfortunately, Kody’s actions led her to lose those women. Robyn had to stand still and see her sisters leaving the family, which was never supposed to happen. She never signed up for the struggles she’s facing right now and doesn’t deserve Kody’s anger.
Thankfully, Kody is showing a glimmer of hope with his much-improved mental state. His little speech during the One on One episode proves he’s ready to lead a better life with Robyn. Kody was furious at his breakups and for failing to continue polygamy in the past. However, he’s more in tune with his goals now than ever. Kody understands that he did wrong to cause problems with Robyn. He realizes he loves her genuinely and no longer wants to ruin it. Hopefully, Kody and Robyn will overcome this dark time together and re-encounter happiness one day.
