The Family Patriarch Explains His Feelings Through Tears

Meri Brown has grieved the end of their marriage. But after so many years of mistreatment from Kody, she doesn’t feel like his tears make sense.

“It always blows me away that you get emotional like this, I just don’t understand,” Meri tells him. He replies that he feels like his entire life has been turned upside down and he’s mourning what they had.

“We had something special,” Kody says between sobs before continuing with his monologue. “And it feels like it all went to sh*t sort of. It was just one thing and then another, and then another thing. And it’s okay, I’m not bitter anymore, I’m not angry. I’m glad you and I got that figured out. I’m glad we’re able to be friends, I’m glad that you’re my favorite ex-wife. But it’s the weirdest thing to be in that place. It is just heartbreaking in a way. And I love the life I had, but it’s a very different life than what I had three years ago. And it just seemed like everybody else went, ‘this isn’t important.’”
