Meri Brown was the first one to join the plural family with Kody. She was his first-ever wife long before they became part of Sister Wives. Ironically, he had the most issues with her, and their relationship hadn’t been smooth for the longest time. After Christine and Janelle’s departure, Meri, too, got the strength to call it quits with the polygamist.
However, in the previous episodes, Meri did reveal that she was still open to reconciling if her former husband would want that. It has been a while since they filmed for Season 18. After a new post on social media, fans now know Meri has started dating again.
Sister Wives: Meri Confirms She Has Started To Date Again!
Out of all the wives of Kody, Meri was definitely the one who suffered the most. They began having issues in their marriage in 2015, yet the former strung her along. It happened after the infamous catfishing incident. But in Sister Wives Season 18, Meri seemed pretty much done with the relationship. While Robyn tried to make her stay, Kody had pretty much given up.
Meri also expressed her wish to move to Utah and focus on her mother’s heritage inn. All these turn of events took place in 2022. Hence, it has been a year since TLC filmed for the current season that’s airing on TV. Lately, Meri has been going live with her friend, Jenn. Both of them do weekly live sessions on their Instagram, “Friday With Friends.”
While Meri and Jenn were chatting with the audience, one of them commented it looked like they were “dating.” That’s when the latter instantly cleared that she was already married. Moreover, her husband was the one who had started looking for potential men for Meri. They were doing so, so that all four of them could go on double dates.
Meri was smiling throughout the live session. Sister Wives fans could sense that she was finally at peace after partying ways with Kody and had let go of hopes of reconciliation. Many of them then wished her all the best for her dating adventures.
Sister Wives: Meri Calls Herself A “Badass” After Splitting With Kody
For the longest time, the Sister Wives fanbase had urged Meri to part ways with Kody for good. They didn’t like the amount of disrespect he threw at her. But, the former was determined to look at the bright side and hoped things would get better. But, in Season 18, she finally made the brave decision to leave the plural family.
In a recent interview, Meri reflected upon all the changes she saw in herself after splitting from Kody. She mentioned feeling pretty “badass.” She further called herself a strong, confident woman who knew how to set boundaries. All of this has also been evident through Meri’s social media activities. That’s because she is fully dedicated to spending time with her friends and running her mother’s heritage inn.
Now that Meri has added dating to her quotient, fans are hopeful she will find the ideal man for herself soon.
