But Meri finally had enough in the latest season, which featured her official “release” from their church, which is considered a spiritual divorce.

Many fans have been wondering if Meri Brown will get rid of Kody’s last name now that they have separated. Recently, the Sister Wives star updated her IG profile, removing the Brown last name in her bio. Her profile tag still has the Brown, but it may be the next one to change now that Meri has officially ditched her ex-husband’s last name in her bio. Meri’s fan base only knows her as Meri Brown, but it is interesting that she is now just ‘Meri’ in her bio. Meri’s maiden name before she married Kody over 30 years ago was Barber.
Meri has previously stated that it is indeed difficult that she’s forever tied to Kody by having his last name online. But at the same time, it’s how people have known her over the years. She also said in an interview that she would never revert to her maiden name. Regardless, she’s still considering changing it, especially if she gets married again.

Meri Brown has been thriving in life since her separation from Kody. She’s currently living in Utah and is making upgrades in her B&B business.
