Keep reading for more details.
Meri Brown Is Severing Last Ties With Kody
After over thirty years of legal and spiritual marriage, Meri Brown finally got the hint that Kody Brown was done with their life together. He had been trying to tell her he was fine with her finding someone new. Yet, when Christine Brown Woolley wanted to do it, it was a knife in the kidneys. Meri and Kody had not been intimate in over a decade so it was all but done. Yet, fourth wife, Robyn Brown tried to keep Meri around as she was her last hope. Third wife, Christine, had left the family and second wife, Janelle Brown, was not far behind.
Therefore, Robyn was desperate to keep her polygamy dream alive and preyed upon Meri. Yet, it was not enough as Meri finally listened to what Kody had been saying for years. She could stick around but he was not coming for her. So, she decided not to renew her Flagstaff lease and headed to her B&B in Utah. Now, in the Sunday, September 22nd episode of Sister Wives, Meri is seeking a spiritual divorce from Kody.
Kody starts off the clip by explaining Meri Brown told him she was headed to Utah to speak to their Church leader. There, she was going to discuss the process of obtaining a spiritual divorce. In their Church, it is called a “release.” They have a “covenant” and, at this point, Meri believes it is time to terminate that. She does not want to be “sealed” to him for an eternity but he is not happy with the idea of her going and getting this release.
Let Her Go
Even though Kody Brown has openly said he and Meri Brown would never reconcile, he does not want to deal with the Church. Would he rather they just split up but be stuck together spiritually to look good in the eyes of the Church? More so, does he think they will not see the truth play out on television? Kody claims that he just wanted Meri to “go away.”
She is done and will do whatever it takes to be officially and spiritually done with Kody and that life. Fans who saw this clip had a lot of thoughts:
- WOW!! I don’t understand their spiritual beliefs or why Meri stayed, but Kody’s cruelty and nonstop humiliation of this woman is next level.
- “I just needed her to… go away” ouch, what a pos
- Well she is not going away quietly. Good on you Meri.
It will be interesting to see what happens when Meri goes to the Church and officially gets the release. Are you proud of her for standing her ground? Let us know and watch Sister Wives Sundays on TLC.
