Sister Wives: Meri Brown Is Ready To Date Again
Meri Brown of Sister Wives is ready to get back in the saddle and start dating again after her divorce from her ex-husband, Kody Brown.
Meri Brown isn’t sinking into the shadows quietly, as she recently told Sister Wives followers that she wanted to date again. She was the first wife of Kody Brown, but arguably the most unloved by the patriarch. In January, Meri and Kody decided to call it quits on their toxic marriage.
Kody and Meri tied the knot in 1990, but their marriage as two people was quickly short-lived. Janelle Brown, who divorced Meri’s brother, joined the family not long after. Ever since Meri was put on the back burner as Kody filtered from one wife to the next. Meri had enough of feeling neglected and involved herself in an affair that turned out to be a catfish scandal. Sadly, Kody and Meri could never recover from her infidelity, and the two drifted apart for years.
Meri Knows Her Worth
Since leaving Kody behind in the dust, Meri has been all about learning her worth. Now that the mother of one is living her best single life, the Sister Wives star isn’t going to settle for a relationship like she had with Kody. In a recent Instagram Live, Meri shared with fans that she was, in fact, single, saying, “I’m not dating anyone. I’d like to date.” Even though Meri is no longer romantically aligned with someone, it seems that the Utah native is ready to put herself out there again.
Why Kody Wanted Meri to Move On
Sadly, Kody was over Meri for years. The father of 18 made it clear numerous times that he wanted nothing to do with his first wife and would be more than happy if she were to find another man to live her life with. The news came as a surprise to Meri, who heard her ex-husband’s remarks during the recent reunion. Meri had tried her best for years to rebuild their relationship, even making Kody Rice Krispie Treats. Even though Kody greedily ate the snack, it didn’t change his mind, as he just wanted to be monogamous with Robyn.
With Sister Wives season 18 filming, viewers will finally get a chance to see how Kody is dealing with losing three out of his four wives. Each wife has agreed to film for the new season, with Meri having moved back to Utah to take care of her bed and breakfast, Lizzie’s Heritage Inn. The new season may show Meri coming to grips about her failed marriage, but it could also show her stepping out and meeting new suitors.
