Janelle Brown was introduced as the wife who wanted to work all day and let her sister wife, Christine Brown be the homemaker. As the second wife, she was open about what she loved in terms of plural marriage. She appreciated that she could go out and be independent. Yet, someone was always there to tend to her kids. However, there was still family time and fun time that they spent together. Over the years, she dipped her toes into different businesses and started to assert herself even more.
When her husband, Kody Brown demanded she throw their sons out during the pandemic, she refused. Fans loved how assertive Janelle was and how she never backed down. However, is there a dark side to Kody’s now estranged wife that fans did not see? A Reddit thread was started to address something that was noted in their book. Apparently, Janelle has admitted to having an emotional affair with Kody. More so, she had already known his first wife, Meri Brown. She was married to her brother, Adam Barber so they had ties to one another.

Sister Wives fans have a soft spot for Janelle Brown but they did not seem to have any sympathy for her in this situation.
- This and Jenelle being married to her brother makes Meri’s resentment towards Janelle understandable.
- Janelle is a joke. So she saw no issue with getting “married” to Kody on Meri’s birthday but Mykelti had to wait to get married because her date was too close to Maddie’s wedding.

It does appear that this was a huge slap in Meri’s face especially since she does not how important birthdays are to her. Moreover, she really was in love with Kody and has had a hard time moving on and away from the family.
