Plexus is a supplement that is typically advertised as a powder that’s added to water, creating a “healthy” “wellness boosting” drink. Typically targeted towards women looking to lose weight, Christine and Janelle’s posts surrounding Plexus have often been scrutinized by Sister Wives viewers who are concerned the product is too good to be true.
Are Janelle & Christine Pushing Plexus Products Too Aggressively?
Although Christine and Janelle are welcome to post about whatever they’d like, there is some issue in pushing products that could be considered dangerous. Though it has not been proven that Plexus doesn’t work as advertised, there has been a formal warning from the US Federal Trade Commission regarding Plexus and some advertising they’ve done in the past. In the warning, the FTC explains that posts about Plexus claimed that the supplement could help “cure” COVID-19, which is false. With the FTC calling Plexus out for lying about their product, it may be possible that Christine and Janelle are pushing products that don’t have the benefits they claim to.
Are Janelle & Christine’s Weight Loss Results Really Due To Plexus
Christine and Janelle attribute their wellness journeys to Plexus, with both citing Plexus as a huge component of their weight loss in the last several years. While Janelle has lost weight, she doesn’t look much different than she did in the past. Both women look phenomenal, but it’s possible that their weight loss stemmed from other factors, especially considering the ways their lives have changed in recent years. With the ability to focus on themselves outside their marriages to Kody Brown, weight loss could’ve come naturally or through diet and exercise. Though Plexus could’ve played a part, it could be greatly exaggerated in order to sell more of the product.
Should Maddie Brush Be Involved In This?
Although Christine and Janelle have been able to create a community through Plexus and their sales of it, some are concerned about the women bringing their daughters into the business. Janelle’s daughter, Maddie Brush, and Christine’s daughter, Mykelti Padron, have both become Plexus saleswomen along with their mothers. Promoting Plexus seems like it has been a beneficial source of income for Christine and Janelle, but it seems unlikely that their daughters will want to continue selling it long term. With young children to consider and lives both women have pushed to be away from Sister Wives cameras, bringing Maddie and Mykelti into the Plexus game may be a poor choice.
