Janelle Brown Tells Police About Troubling Text Messages
The report from the Flagstaff Police Department was obtained by TMZ. According to the report, Janelle Brown spoke to the officers who responded to the call about troubling text messages she received from her son the day before his death.
Janelle said that he texted a group chat that included a number of people that the Sister Wives family worked with. He apparently messaged the group saying, “We strongly condemn words or actions that promote violence or sexism of any kind.”

After hearing about the texts, she decided to message Garrison herself. The conversation between mother and son was short-lived. Garrison Brown simply stopped replying to his mother. That was when Janelle reached out to her other children about having someone perform a wellness check on Garrison.
Gabriel Brown volunteered to go check in on his brother. Upon his arrival, he discovered his brother was dead due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Garrison’s Roommates Say He Struggled With Alcohol
Although news of Garrison’s death broke on Tuesday, it is possible that he took his own life Monday night. Three of his roommates told investigators that they heard a “pop” Monday night, but none of them thought it was a gunshot. They neglected to check on Garrison after hearing the sound. It wasn’t until Gabe arrived that anyone discovered his body.
The Sister Wives star’s roommates said that Garrison was known to struggle with alcohol abuse at times. No one in the Brown family was aware of his apparent battles with alcohol.

His brother Gabriel said that he thought Garrison was doing well out on his own. He recently started a new job at a medical facility.
When speaking with police, Janelle Brown shared that Garrison was continuing to have a hard time coping with his estranged relationship with his father, Kody Brown. She previously expressed concern over Garrison’s mental health. According to Janelle, he wasn’t as happy as he used to be and seemed sad, even angry at times.
The family has made minimal public statements regarding Garrison Brown’s death at this time. They have asked for privacy while they continue to process the loss.
