Fans are speaking out about the latest season of Sister Wives, and they’re not impressed. Viewers waited a long time to see new episodes of the TLC show, but now they think the show has become “tedious.” Here is what they’re saying about the latest installment of the reality show.
Why Is Sister Wives So Far Behind Reality?
Season 19 of Sister Wives is in full swing and, honestly, fans seemed to be checked out. What is airing now was filmed at the end of 2022, so the show is almost two years behind reality. Most fans know that things have drastically changed in the family.
All but one wife has left Kody Brown. Christine Brown got remarried. Janelle Brown has embarked on a new business venture with her daughter, Maddie Brush. And Meri Brown seems to be living her best life with Kody firmly in her rearview.
However, what is currently airing on television is extremely far behind. At this point, viewers are seeing Janelle still battling with leaving Kody and Meri is still around too. Christine Brown just left the plural family, but she hasn’t met her new man yet in the series, though it was promised that fans would see their relationship in the new season.
Fans Want To See Something New Play Out
A number of Sister Wives fans took to Reddit to discuss the latest season and the overall lack of interest in Season 19. One Reddit user started the discussion, “I noticed this season, people aren’t that into SW. The train wreck has crashed. The passing of [Garrison] has put a lot of things in perspective.”
They continued, “These people (K&R) will lie on every episode and the Tell Alls will be disappointing as usual. No one asks the hard questions. R&K walk out when they don’t get their way. So, what’s the point really?”
In the comments, other Sister Wives fans talked about how the show has become “tedious” to watch at this point.
- “So much is happening right now with Christine filing for child support, Robyn’s miracle house being put on the market, Janelle opening a business with Maddie that everything they’re showing us is just tedious. Who cares??” one person pointed out.
- Another person agreed, “Speaking of old and tedious, why are they two years behind? Is there another reality show out there that is this far behind in reality?”
- Others noticed inconsistencies in the filming. “I don’t understand how they’re so far behind. Last season they showed Christine’s wedding to David which was in October 2023 and this season they’re showing the births of Mykelti’s twins from November 2022,” one person commented.
It’s clear that Sister Wives fans want to see what’s happening in the lives of the Brown family right now. They want to see things like Kody Brown getting served for child support. People also expressed they’d like to see Janelle put her business together and Christine start her new life with David Woolley. “I want to see Meri laughing, finally,” one person wrote.
