‘Sister Wives’ Fans Praise Meri Brown For Huge Robyn Diss S19 Premiere
Sister Wives fans finally got to see the Season 19 premiere on Sunday, September 15. Some moments during the first episode have sent viewers reeling. Namely, fans got to see Meri Brown stick up for herself and, subsequently, throw a little shade at Robyn Brown. There are some spoilers ahead, so reader beware!
Meri Brown Throws Shade At Robyn
In the newest episode of Sister Wives, Meri Brown sits down with her friend to talk about her relationship with Kody. As fans know, Meri was the last of the wives to leave the plural family, despite her relationship with Kody being platonic for years.
During the episode, Meri tells her friend that they haven’t had a relationship for a long time. She went on to say that when they moved to Flagstaff, Kody Brown seemed very positive about everything. He looked at moving to Flagstaff as a fresh start for the entire family. However, things went downhill fast after the family relocated.
Meri spoke in a confessional on last night’s episode of Sister Wives, stating that she felt bad for Kody. “If that’s what he’s having to tell himself to justify that he and I started this family,” she said. “Like why?”
Then, she goes on to seemingly sneak diss Kody’s only remaining wife, Robyn Brown. “Because Robyn was only 10 at the time? 12?” she looked at the camera incredulously. Cameras then panned back to her conversation with her friend, where they proceeded to discuss Kody’s “midlife crisis.”
Sister Wives Fans Clap For Meri Brown
One Sister Wives fan taped their television screen during this exchange and posted it to Reddit. You can hear the person chuckling in the background and it’s clear other viewers thought this was humorous as well.
“This is my favorite thing she’s ever said. GO MERI!” one person commented. A second fan chimed in, “Meri is what you get when the shy, obedient, wallflower has had enough and finally decides to focus on the ‘lion’ not the ‘dandy.’”
“It’s giving Bette Midler in First Wives Club ‘who’s supposed to wear that?! Some fetus?’” a third person commented.
Another viewer commented on Kody’s confessionals in the first episode. “Every interview with Kody is just him doing mental gymnastics to keep from admitting the truth,” they wrote.
One commenter recalled when the Sister Wives clan first moved to Flagstaff. They pointed out that Meri had to evacuate because there was a wildfire in the area. In that moment, they said they felt kOdy was “really loving” toward Meri.
“He went out of his way to rally the rest of the family and make sure that all of her belongings were safe. He even specifically mentioned a table that had been in her family for a long time and a few other items that were precious to her,” they commented. Now, though, “I don’t believe he never loved her. Not for a second.”
Sister Wives Season 19 is off to an interesting start with each of the wives in their own corner now. Fans will be able to tune in again on Sunday at 10 p.m. EST on TLC.
