Garrison Brown’s Death Shakes The Sister Wives Family

The Sister Wives star died last week in an apparent suicide. His brother, Gabe Brown, found Garrison in his home in Flagstaff, Arizona with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Gabe, their mother Janelle Brown, and Garrison’s roommates all spoke with local police who responded to the scene.

Each of the people who spoke with authorities said that Garrison Brown struggled with his mental health. Janelle Brown told police that she received worrisome texts from her son the day before and regretted not getting him help sooner.

Garrison’s estranged father, Kody Brown, did not come to his son’s house in the wake of the incident. Janelle and Kody issued a joint statement regarding their son’s death. They both said they were “deeply saddened” by Garrison’s passing and described him as a “bright light” in their lives.

Two days after news of Garrison’s death broke, officials allegedly responded to a mental health crisis at Kody Brown’s residence. A neighbor filmed what was thought to be the CARE unit at Kody’s home Thursday night and the video was shared on social media.

In the wake of Garrison Brown’s death, fans have found ways to honor the late Sister Wives star. Large numbers of people flocked to the High Country Humane website to donate money in Garrison’s name. However, fans have recently uncovered another page that is scamming good-hearted people by using the TLC star’s name.

The Brown family has not yet announced funeral arrangements or whether or not any of it will be shared with the public.

TLC has not shared any news about the future of Sister Wives amid Garrison Brown’s death. It is not clear whether they will continue filming following the loss in the family.
