‘Sister Wives’ Fan Shares Garrison Brown’s Good Deeds Live On
Sister Wives star Garrison Brown was incredibly passionate about animals, particularly cats. He adopted three of his own and his siblings took them in after he died.
Although the TLC star struggled with mental health issues, his loved ones agree he would be honored to know his legacy helped so many shelter pets in need.
Fans Continue Donating in Garrison Brown’s Name
After Garrison Brown passed away, many fans donated to Flagstaff animal shelters in his name. They wanted to ensure his memory lived on and they could help as many animals as possible.
Now, one Sister Wives viewer is sharing their own experience after donating.
“The Shelter I donated to for Garrison sent me this letter,” a Sister Wives fan shared on Reddit. “It’s the most heartwarming and heartbreaking thing at the same time. I teared up reading about the carelessness that people show to such innocent creatures, and how I hope Garrison and can see the love we’ve shown for him and his passion. 4 more kitties were saved with guidance from your soul, Garrison.”
The OP went on to say they chose this shelter because they adopted cats from them before and the shelter is also extremely underfunded.
“I’m going to hold onto it for when I need a reason to keep going,” they concluded the post.
Other Sister Wives fans thought it was an incredibly beautiful and thoughtful letter. Redditors left kind replies including:
- “Garrison lives on through these deeds. ❤️🩹”
- “Amazing ❤️ I donated to both of the rescues he’d adopted cats from and it makes my heart happy to know that many, many others did too. There are a lot of healthy cats with full tummies and safe futures thanks to Garrison.”
- “Wow! I ❤️how it told you how your donation impacted the specific animals. What a lovely and heartfelt note. 💕”
- “It’s wonderful to know that Garrison’s love of cats has created a loving community unknowingly. It’s great hearing stories of good deeds.”
Flagstaff Animal Shelters Remember The TLC Star
Shortly after Garrison passed away, the High Country Humane Shelter in Flagstaff shared a touching post in his memory. At the time of posting back in March, they already received over $13,000 in donations. As of July, donations have only grown from there.
