‘Sister Wives’ Each Wife Has Own LLC For TLC Checks
Sister Wives fans always show a deep interest in the LLCs involving the wives of Kody Brown. Recently, information arrived that revealed Janelle, Robyn, Meri, and Christine Brown each have their own LLCs for their checks from TLC. It follows the news that the Kody Brown Family Entertainment, LLC in Nevada filed to shut down on October 8.
Sister Wives Star Kody Brown Started A New LLC
In 2022, Kody listed his new DABSARK Entertainment LLC. If you don’t know, it stands for Dayton, Aurora, Breanna, Solomon, Ariella, Robyn, and Kody. As you can see, it favors Robyn’s children, and the other kids and wives don’t feature in that business. Naturally, that annoyed TLC fans because Season 10 revealed a preference for them over the other children.
The OGs in Sister Wives already made their own LLCs and started businesses. For example, Janelle took a bold step and registered her company, JANELLE BROWN PLEXUS LLC, on November 29, 2022. The TLC star has a listed business address. Additionally, NTYK LLC, a retail trade business, is registered at the same address. Then there’s Christine Brown who registered hers in March 2022 under PLEXUS WITH CHRISTINE LLC.
LLCs For Robyn, Meri, Janelle, And Christine Brown’s TLC Checks?
Until now, viewers always wondered if Kody Brown controlled the money from TLC. Of course, that suspicion rose when Derick Dillard accused Jim Bob Duggar of not paying him for their reality TV appearances. However, Robyn, Meri, Kody, Janelle, Christine, and Meri Brown all used a single LLC for that. Apparently, the money went into the LLC, allowing each adult family member to access the funds. However, it seemed a bit unfair seeing Janelle Brown had to beg for her home to be built whilst Robyn resided in her mansion.
On Reddit, an OP did a deep dive into the Sister Wives LLCs in December 2023. And, it looks like things changed.
Each wife now has their own LLC for the TLC checks…Christine created hers first then Meri, but what’s weird is they both have the same registered agent for their companies. So I’m guessing they both hired someone to manage the LLC and dealings… Plus [it’s] weird that Meri was the last to announce her separation but seemed prepared enough to know she needed to make her own company. Janelle was the last to make hers which I guess could be part of the separation of assets she was speaking of. A few short days after Meri, Kody created a new LLC through a holding company and for some reason Robyn was not included in the original filing. 👀 But of course a few months later she added herself and made herself the statutory agent.
