Amid all this, viewers were in shock when they heard Kati’s version of how Christine and David initially met. She claimed that she had a huge role in making them meet, and she was the one who insisted her father respond to the Sister Wives star.
As per Kati, she has been a huge fan of Sister Wives and got to know that Christine was single when she went to her husband’s office. She then recalled how David stated that the latter was messaging her and ended up being excited “more than anybody was.”
After all these claims, a Reddit thread soon started, and I wondered why Kati was taking away all the credit for the success of Christine and David’s love story. Several Sister Woves viewers even accused her of using her stepmother to get more followers and become an influencer.
Someone even stated in the comments that Kati’s version makes it look like she asked David to intentionally create a dating profile and “bait Christine.” Another user admitted that David’s daughter’s story was clashing with what he had told the cameras!

David also revealed that two of his sisters are also practicing polygamy, and he was well aware of the dynamics. But as per him, he met Christine via a dating site named Stir. The latter messaged him, and the new Sister Wives couple ended up clicking instantly.
Christine stated that when she looked at David’s picture for the first time, she instantly knew that she wanted to be looked at with those eyes all throughout her life. None of them ever mentioned anything about Kati’s role in their love story.
