SISTER Wives’ Christine Brown has scored a spinoff series featuring her fairytale wedding to her new husband, David Woolley.
The Sister Wives star split from her ex, and the father of her six children, Kody Brown, 54, in November 2021.
The reality series network TLC announced that Christine, 51, and David, 59, will get their own two-part wedding special.
“After years of struggling in her plural marriage to Kody, Christine Brown has met the love of her life, David Woolley,” the network said in a press release.
The statement continued: “After a year-long courtship, they are getting married! Set against the majestic red rocks of Moab, Utah, Christine gets the big traditional wedding she has always dreamed of having.”
Christine and David tied the knot on October 7 in a fairytale ceremony at Red Cliffs Lodge in Moab, Utah.
Most of Christine’s blended family attended except her ex-husband, Kody, his wife, Robyn, 45, and their kids.
Her former sister-wife, Meri, 52, and daughter, Gwendlyn, 21, were also absent from the star’s big day.
However, Christine and Kody’s five other children, her former sister-wife and best friend Janelle, 54, and other members of their family were by her side.
Following the festivities, Christine thanked her guests for being at her nuptials in a sweet Instagram post.
“It meant the world to us to have such amazing love and support on our wedding day!” the reality star wrote.
“So grateful to be surrounded by so much love!”
Part one of the couple’s wedding special will air on Sunday, January 7 at 10 pm ET on TLC with part two airing the following Sunday, January 14 at the same time.
TELEVISION DEBUT
David made his first-ever appearance on the show during Sunday’s Sister Wives reunion episode.
The business owner got a boost from the show’s host Sukanya Krishnan who encouraged David to step before the camera.
“Hey David, come on out!” Sukanya said as she and Christine looked off to the side.
“You’re gonna meet the love of my life,” Christine said, eager to introduce her new beau.
Sukanya was then seen greeting David before he joined his reality TV star wife.
Since her split from Kody, Christine has embraced her new life with David, moving from the family’s compound in Flagstaff, Arizona, to Utah.
She also focused on living a healthier lifestyle and dropped 20 pounds ahead of her wedding.
The pair are now enjoying being newlyweds and recently took a cruise to Haiti with Janelle.
“In the very beginning of our relationship, I told David that Janelle and her kids are part of me,” she captioned a photo of the three of them.
“Not as in we were living polygamy again, but she’s my Sisterwife, always. Of course, they get along great. Vacationing with all of us is awesome.”
Christine and David also ventured to New York City to meet up with Christine’s sister, Wendy Allred, and Wendy’s husband, KC.
“[We] had the best time in New York!” the TLC star told her fans.
CHRISTINE’S CHOICE
Christine shares six children with Kody: Aspyn, 28; Mykelti, 27; Paedon, 25; Gwendlyn, 22; Ysabel, 19; and Truely, 13.
While Meri was the first sister-wife to marry Kody, Christine was the first to leave, making the decision back in 2021 after 25 years together.
In a social media post at the time, Christine confirmed the split with a statement that read: “After more than 25 years together, Kody and I have grown apart and I have made the difficult decision to leave.
“We will continue to be a strong presence in each other’s lives as we parent our beautiful children and support our wonderful family.
“At this time, we ask for your grace and kindness as we navigate through this stage within our family. With love, Christine Brown.”
In his own statement, Kody said: “Christine’s decision to leave comes with a great deal of sadness.
“We enjoyed many years together and I have a large amount of respect and admiration for her.”
However, Kody recently recanted his story, telling Us Weekly that while he believed it was his obligation to ride it out, Christine was the one to leave.
“I never felt like I had the right to say, ‘Hey, listen, I don’t love this woman. I want a divorce.’ I never felt like that was in my wheelhouse, but it was in theirs,” Kody told Us.
“So, Christine made a choice, and that’s kind of where it’s at. She chose to go, and it’s a blessing and a curse. It’s been very, very, very hard. But it was her being brave enough to do it, because I was never going to do that.”
