Please join us in congratulating young General Hospital star Scarlett Spears (Donna) for reaching another career milestone! On July 31, the pint-sized cutie got a special surprise when she watched that day’s episode.

“Another first today!” her mother shared in an Instagram post containing a video clip and behind-the-scenes pics from the show. “Scarlett was in the opening credits on GH! We are beyond stoked, to say the least! She was so surprised, to say the least!”

In the clip, Spears’ headshot falls right after Josh Swickard (Chase) and before Evan Hofer (Dex). The photos her mom snapped on set feature Spears with fellow GH child stars Viron Weaver (Wiley) and Gary James Fuller (James) after a swim in the Metro Court pool, shooting her scene with TV mom Laura Wright (Carly), and holding her birthday balloons. Because that episode wasn’t just Wiley’s birthday!

“Scarlett filmed today’s scenes on her actual seventh birthday!” her mother revealed. “She had a blast! What a treat! We are forever grateful for our GH family and all the people who cheer her on.”

Spears took over the role of Sonny and Carly’s daughter in November 2022 and has been stealing scenes ever since. There’s also a video clip in the Instagram gallery showing Spears reacting to seeing herself in the opening credits. “I want you to see something and I want you to press play, okay?” her mother says, handing her a phone. The little girl squeals in surprise upon seeing her face among the other GH stars and laughs as she happily declares: “I love it!”

We can’t wait to see what comes next!
