Hard as it is to believe, Grey’s Anatomy has been serving up medical drama and romantic shenanigans since March of 2005. That’s right, we’re heading into the drama’s 20th season. And while there are some new faces walking the halls, several of our OG’s remain as well. We’re about to look at who’s played by who, who’s hooking up with who, and even offer up a reminder of where things stand and where they’re headed! Ready to scrub in?

Ellen Pompeo as Meredith Grey
Despite the fact that we’ve been hearing reports of her exit for years now, Pompeo will still be appearing on the show which originally was built around her character. Yes, she’ll definitely have a reduced presence, but given that Season 20 is only going to be comprised of 10 episodes, will we really even notice?

Chandra Wilson as Miranda Bailey
As long as Seattle Grace’s doors remain open, you can count on Wilson’s alter ego to be treating patients. The actress has on numerous occasions made it clear that if she has her way, she’ll remain on Grey’s Anatomy until the very end. And where this original cast member is concerned, we wouldn’t have it any other way!

James Pickens Jr. as Richard Webber
When last we saw Richard at the end of Season 19’s action-packed finale, the recovering alcoholic was looking at a vodka tonic the way we look at French fries. Could the stress of recent events — including wife Catherine’s health scare and that very, very terrifying plane trip to Boston — wind up pushing him right off the wagon?

Debbie Allen as Catherine Fox
Of the many powerful women who walk the halls of Seattle Grace/Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, Catherine just might be at the top of the list. Even as she has battled cancer, she’s remained strong, especially with the help of hubby Richard. But the final moments of Season 19 saw him on the verge of falling off the wagon, leaving us to wonder if this pair is headed for major trouble!

Kim Raver as Teddy Altman
Things weren’t looking great for Teddy as Season 19 wrapped, what with having collapsed in the operating room after suffering a toothache all day. And while one of the interns declared that Teddy had no pulse, it was later reported that Raver had signed on for Season 20, so we’re pretty sure Teddy won’t wind up dying of whatever caused her toothache!

Kevin McKidd as Owen Hunt
Having joined the cast way back in Season 5, McKidd is happy to continue playing the character many fans have a love/hate relationship with. “He is a challenging and quite polarizing character,” the actor told The Wrap, “which I like.” Throw in the fact that McKidd gets to direct several episodes a season, and he’s a happy camper!

Caterina Scorsone as Amelia Shepherd
We were almost as devastated as Amelia when her relationship with Kai Bartley crashed and burned. But Season 20 is bringing a new doctor to town (Natalie Morales’ peds doc Monica Beltran), and fans watching promos for the new season couldn’t help but notice sparks a-flyin’ between her and Amelia!

Camilla Luddington as Jo Wilson
We pretty much shouted “It took y’all long enough!” when Jo and Linc finally admitted their true feelings for one another at the end of Season 19. But given that we’ve seen these two dance around each other for several seasons, we’re not entirely convinced that they’ll be able to make it this time, either!

Chris Carmack as Atticus ‘Link’ Lincoln
In true Grey’s Anatomy fashion, Link was prompted to tell Jo how he really felt after watching her flirt with a patient named Sam. But given that the the man in question was left dying on the operating table in the final moments of Season 19, we can’t help but wonder if Sam might still wind up being a roadblock to Jo and Link’s future!

Jake Borelli as Levi Schmitt
Man, he’s come a long way since he was dubbed “Glasses” after his eyewear fell into a patient who was being operated on! Now, he’s the co-chief resident alongside his roomie, Taryn. The real question is whether he’ll be drawn back in by former beau Nico Kim, who was voted one of TV’s all-time worst boyfriends by our sister site, TVLine!

Scott Speedman as Nick Marsh
Believe it or not, the dashing doc who has been trying his darndest to sweep Meredith off her feet has been appearing on the show since way back in Season 14. Sure, after his initial guest gig he vanished for years, only to resurface in Season 18, but still! No word on how many episodes Speedman will appear in this year, let alone whether those crazy kids Nick and Meredith can make their relationship work!

Anthony Hill as Winston Ngugu
His marriage to Maggie hit the rocks approximately 12 seconds after they spontaneously tied the knot. Now, they’ve agreed to be “married but apart,” which sounds like the kind of situation that will only lead to bigger problems down the line. Why? Well, if you had a husband as good looking as Winston, would you want him wandering the halls of Grey Sloan as an essentially single guy? Didn’t think so.

Niko Terho as Lucas Adams
Now that the proverbial cat’s out of the bag about Lucas being a Shepherd, it’ll be interesting to see if his fellow interns treat him differently. Of course, what we’re really waiting to see is whether Simone will regret having left Trey at the altar in order to be with Lucas. (Smart decision, if you ask us!)

Midori Francis as Mika Yasuda
Having gotten involved with her new boss, Taryn Helm, it looks as if Mika is about to head down the same path originally trod by Meredith. And while mixing business and pleasure can be a total disaster, it didn’t work out too terribly for Mer and Derek… until he died, anyway!

Alexis Floyd as Simone Griffith
Fleeing her wedding to Trey seemed like a great idea at the time, we’re sure. What Simone probably didn’t foresee — but maybe should have — was her would-be groom giving chase. Unfortunately for all involved, that landed him in the very hospital in which Simone works… with the man she truly loves, Lucas. In other words, the word they’ll be using to describe how Season 20 kicks off is probably… awkward!

Harry Shum Jr. as Benson ‘Blue’ Kwan
Talk about competitive! Kwan got his nickname by being his high school’s valedictorian while also proving to be a chess champ and a track star. Things are no less intense at the hospital, especially where his love/hate relationship with Jules is concerned. But given that he saved the life of her elderly roomie in the season finale, something tells us Blue and Jules might get a bit more serious in Season 20!

Adelaide Kane as Jules Millen
Having basically had to be the parent to her drug-addicted folks, Jules likes to be in charge. (Translation: She can sometimes be a little bossy!) While she made the mistake of hooking up with Link before realizing he was kinda sorta one of her bosses, he quickly put the kibosh on that! Although she and Kwan are now involved in a situation both swear has no strings attached, we’re pretty sure there are at least a few threads!
