She Shares Her Major Miracle

On Instagram, Danielle Busby discusses a topic near and dear to her heart. One major miracle in her life has been her journey of having five premature babies at once. She captions: “World Prematurity Day – Nov 17th 💜.” Furthermore, adding, “Today we honor the strength & fight of premature babies. Babies born before 37 weeks are considered premature and Premature babies affect 1 in 10 births. If you are a parent with a premature baby, my heart feels your pain. The experiences a Mom faces in the NICU…is honestly traumatic.” She knows firsthand how scary it was for her and Adam Busby to decide to have the babies when their lives and hers were at risk and how it feels to see them struggle.

For Adam and Danielle Busby, the decision to keep their quints came with challenges that weighed on them even after the birth. She explains, “The NICU is more than just ‘visiting’ your baby in the hospital. Moms/parents are usually faced with life changing decisions hour by hour that we would have thought we would never have to experience. No matter if it’s a day in the NICU or WEEKS or MONTHS in the NICU.. the fear and helplessness that a Mom feels…is just heartbreaking.” She understands the burden that parents face during uncertain times.

Danielle Busby Says Don’t Give Up

Furthermore, OutDaughtered star, Danielle Busby expresses the feelings she experienced. She shares, “As a mom who had 5 babies (quintuplets born at 28wks + 2 days) in the NICU for up to 3 months, I experienced every kind of emotion…every kind of fear…every kind of ‘I don’t know what to do’… and just flat out thinking that my babies don’t even know me bc they are surrounded by nurses and doctors more than Mom. This feeling is crushing! 😔 leaving your baby behind at the hospital and not being able to take them home…is so HARD (I remember this day so clearly). It was like a piece (5 pieces in my case) of me was broken and left behind. 😭 It is so hard watching your little one fight for their life…praying and hoping you a Mom, are making all the right decisions for your baby.”
