‘My Big Fat Fabulous Life’s Isaiah Literally Bares It All to Cheer Up Whitney Thore (Exclusive Clip)
My Big Fat Fabulous Life star Whitney Thore was recently stood up by a man she met online—and her friend, Isaiah Martin, literally bared it all to cheer her up.
TLC shared an exclusive MBFFL clip with Parade ahead of the Sept. 24 episode titled “Dark Horse.” In the sneak peek, Thore and her group of friends were on a trip to Spain to celebrate her 40th birthday.
However, a man she met on a dating app was supposed to join them at the beach but bailed at the last minute.
“I don’t want to have to be some pathetic person who somebody has to cheer up all the time,” an emotional Thore told producers while walking away from her friends on the beach. “I just don’t want any of it.”
Thore’s friend (and Martin’s wife) Jessica Powell confessed, “I don’t know what to say to her, honestly.”
Meanwhile, Martin jogged across the beach to catch up to a distraught Thore.
“I can’t watch Whitney cry on her birthday. I have to do something,” he declared in a confessional. “To be honest, I don’t know what I’m gonna do. But I know I have to do something and now.”
The next thing viewers know, Martin pulled down his pants—to which Thore shrieked and averted her eyes.
“If we’re going to do a nude beach, we’re going to be nude at the beach,” Martin said while continuing to disrobe.
“I have no idea what the h–l he’s doing,” Thore said to the camera. “I think if the tactic was to distract, the tactic was achieved. I am distracted.”
After many more expletives and screaming, Martin ran into the water. “It’s cold!” he exclaimed before jogging back to Thore.
“That better have cheered you up,” he told her. “That is a friend for you.”
“It’s a very unconventional way to cheer me up. But I gotta be honest, it did,” Thore confessed. “It jolted me out of whatever place I was in, and I’ve never felt more loved.”
As if that weren’t enough, Martin climbed on a rock, completely in the buff, and declared, “I’m on a nude beach!” as the rest of their shocked friend group approached.
“What is happening, why is my husband naked?” a confused Powell shouted, to which Martin yelled, “You can’t come here unless you take your clothes off!”
Whether or not the others stripped down is yet to be seen. But one thing is for sure: Thore was certainly distracted from her relationship woes thanks to Martin’s cheeky display.
