My Big Fat Fabulous Life: Whitney Thore Goes Birthday Dress Shopping
Whitney Thore kicks off her 40th birthday celebration with a trip to Marbella, Spain. She, Jessica Powell, and Hunter Thore’s girlfriend, Karen, go out flamenco dress shopping. The TLC star is in shock when she finds a dress that fits her size. She didn’t think she would find something that fit her. So, she tries the dress on.
The My Big Fat Fabulous Life reality star tells Karen and Jessica that she feels like she is on the show Say Yes to the Dress. Jessica laughs because she was on the show looking for her wedding dress. So she adds, “Maybe Karen will be on it next.”
Whitney asks Hunter’s girlfriend if she would marry him if he asked her right now. Karen tells her, “I’m gonna marry him.” She adds, “No. That’s my person.” She loves him.

Whitney starts to get emotional. She tells Karen that she didn’t know that. She thought her father, Glenn Thore, was insane for pushing an engagement. But hearing those words come out of her mouth makes it seem more likely, and she’s shocked. She knows that their relationship is still very new. So, she didn’t see that coming so soon.
The My Big Fat Fabulous Life newcomer admits that she wants to get married and have a family. However, she knows that she is getting older. But she doesn’t believe in “just checking boxes to check boxes.”
Karen doesn’t want to marry someone just because she feels she should marry someone. She also doesn’t want to have a kid just because she should have a kid. The TLC star wants it with the right person at the right time. She feels she will know that it’s the right person when she feels it in her heart.

Karen tells Whitney Thore that she and Hunter Thore are just enjoying their time together right now. She explains that they aren’t in a rush to become husband and wife. But she knows that she is going to marry him. She says he makes her happy.
