Whitney Thore has received many messages, emails, and comments from fans asking her if she and her family are safe after the recent hurricane. She is thankful for all the messages she received, so she decided to give fans an update.
The My Big Fat Fabulous Life cast member shares that she and her family are “luckily” safe from the hurricane. She was born and raised in Greensboro and spent most of her life in North Carolina. So, she is thankful they didn’t experience any bad weather from the hurricane where she lives.
However, Whitney can’t say the same for the other places she spent some time in. She reveals that where she spent her college years up in the mountains did get bad weather. She also spent time in Boone and Asheville, where they weren’t as lucky as she was. The TLC star explains they are “experiencing unprecedented levels of devastation.” She says that “they need help.”
Whitney Asks Fans to Donate
Whitney shared where fans can donate whatever they can. She directed fans to donate to the NC Disaster Relief. She explained that if a fan is local, they can donate items in person. However, she added that you can also donate if you are from anywhere in the country or the world.
The My Big Fat Fabulous Life castmate bought a lot of stuff and sent it up in a truck. So, she feels fans can find an option that would allow them to do the same. Fans can visit their social media profiles online to find out where to send the donations.
