In an Instagram live with Meri, her new boyfriend Amos, and her friend Jenn, the group discussed how Amos has fit into Meri’s life, sharing things weren’t seamless. While Amos explained that Meri’s very public previous marriage was a red flag, he admitted to having a few of his own. Comparing notes, Amos admitted to having three ex-wives. Despite seemingly finding the news surprising, Meri pivoted, explaining “I sort of have three ex-sister wives and an ex-husband. I beat you.” Though Meri likely knew about Amos’s past, she was still surprised to hear him discuss it on a public platform.

While Meri has kept her relationship with Amos under wraps since the couple first met in October 2023, she felt it was ready to introduce him to her followers after the new year hype subsided. Sharing that she and Amos have been dating and getting to know one another well over the last few months, Meri explained on her live that “The first night that we went out, he hugged me, and honestly, it was the best hug. I just stood there and just let him keep hugging me. It was just a really…safe hug.” She shared the pair are “happy, and we like each other a lot, a lot.”

Despite some roadblocks in their connection coming up quickly, Meri and Amos seem to be happily settling into their new relationship. As the couple have been learning about one another, it’s clear that there are parts of each other’s lives they’re going to have differences of opinion on.
