‘MBFFL’ Whitney Way Thore Gives Answer To A ‘DWTS’ Stint
Dancing With The Stars is over for the season, which means the casting department is already thinking about next year’s cast. TLC stars don’t typically appear on the show. But would My Big Fat Fabulous Life star Whitney Way Thore make a good addition?
MBFFL life fans know Whitney has dance training and absolutely loves grooving to a great beat. In fact, fans have previously discussed the possibility of Whitney entering the ballroom before.
So why hasn’t she joined the show yet?
Whitney Way Thore Admits She Would Need To Prepare First
Throughout the course of My Big Fat Fabulous Life, fans have seen Whitney Way Thore engage in several different dance scenarios. She clearly enjoys the activity, so why hasn’t she joined Dancing With The Stars yet?
During the last several seasons of DWTS, reality stars have played a strong presence. The Bachelor star Joey Graziadei is the reigning champion.
So will Whitney compete for the Mirrorball Trophy anytime soon?
“Not sure what she means by this? I feel like it would be good exposure for the show and she’s a dancer so…?” one of Whitney’s followers shared on Reddit, along with a screenshot from her Instagram page.
Some MBFFL fans weren’t sure if Whitney would accept an invitation if offered. But either way, many agreed it wouldn’t be a good fit.
DWTS requires intense hours in the rehearsal room. And on top of that, the pro dancers are incredibly passionate about their art, which can often create tension and hostility.
Many MBFFL Fans Don’t Think It Would Be A Good Fit
Since this isn’t a new topic, other MBFFL viewers had opinions on the subject. Whitney may have a passion for dance, but that doesn’t necessarily make her an ideal candidate for DWTS.
Other Reddit users wrote:
- “She would never do it, because it would allow people could see how truly awful she is.”
- “Never make it past training. They dance 5 or more hours a day just in practice. She’d drop out because of some ‘injury’ or die before the first performance ever happened.”
- “Whit thinks of herself as a professional dancer, but also as a celebrity. As the show pairs celebrities with professional dancers, which role does Whit think she would be filling, a celebrity or a professional dancer?”
- “My brain is imagining all sorts of drama situations. Her feet will ‘break off,’ panic attacks, wardrobe malfunctions, crying because her partner is mean, expecting too much …”
