‘MBFFL’ Drama: Whitney Way Thore’s Tension with Angie Over Her Dad Sparks Fan Buzz!
My Big Fat Fabulous Life fans think that Whitney Way Thore was rude to her half-sister Angie Burdett in a recent episode. Whitney was seemingly excited to find out she had other family, but recent comments make fans think otherwise. Keep reading and let us know what you think in the comments below.
Whitney Way Thore’s Long-Lost Half-Sister Enters The Storyline
Angie Burdett has become a fairly regular cast member on My Big Fat Fab Life in recent seasons. It was uncovered that Glenn Thore had other children. This discovery came after Whitney’s mom, Babs, died.
Viewers got to see Whitney Way Thore meet her long-lost half-sister for the first time. She seemed to be overjoyed at the prospect of having more family, especially in the wake of her mom’s death.
Some people think that Babs kept Glenn away from Angie for a long time. Then, in the latest season, Glenn considered moving to Alabama to assist Angie in finding her adopted child.
Although the reunion between the family members seemed to be a happy one, some fans have noticed Whitney’s language toward Angie about their father.
WWT Emphasizes ‘My Dad’ When Speaking About Glenn To Angie
One MBFFL fan took to Reddit to discuss something they noticed. They pointed out that Whitney Way Thore has used the phrase “My Dad” several times in front of Angie. “It had to be on purpose,” they accused.
Giving Whitney the benefit of the doubt, one fan commented, “I would hope that it’s to be respectful of Angie’s adoptive dad, which is why Angie refers to him as “Glenn” and not dad. But I have a hard time believing Whitney does anything out of respect.” However, another person responded, stating they doubted Whitney did anything “out of respect.”
One commenter said they knew how Angie might be feeling. “I couldn’t help but notice this as well,” they wrote. “My dad adopted me at a young age and my sister (his biological daughter), never misses an opportunity to say “MY dad” in front of me.” The person went on to say they believed Whitney Way Thore doing this is “100% intentional.”
Several other fans said that they noticed her use of the phrase “My Dad” a few times as well. “No surprise from the 40 year old toddler,” one person chastised, while another commented, “Not sure if it was on purpose but it just shows that things aren’t as cozy as the show wants to think.”
