General Hospital Comings And Goings - Emme Rylan as Lulu

General Hospital Comings And Goings for the week of Aug 12-16, reveal that the show will recast a major character. This signals a significant shift in the storyline. Meanwhile, a beloved child actor is set to make a return, bringing back a familiar and cherished presence to the canvas. With no exits in the news, fans can expect the drama to intensify as the storyline progresses and new twists emerge. Read on to know more details.

General Hospital Is Recasting Lulu

According to our latest updates, General Hospital has chosen to awaken Lulu Spencer Falconeri from her coma. Emme Rylan, who last played Lulu on the soap, will not be reprising the role this time. GH has decided to recast Dante’s (Dominic Zamprogna) ex-wife with a new actress. Lulu, introduced in 1994, fell into a coma after a bomb explosion and has been comatose since 2020.

Even with her extended absence, fans remained hopeful for her return. Over the years, the character became a central figure on the soap, particularly with Rylan playing the role from 2013 to 2020.

Following the actress’s departure from the show after a coma scene, the producers assured her they would contact her when Lulu emerged from her coma. However, recent developments have unexpectedly led to major updates.

The producers are no longer bringing Rylan back to reprise the character; instead, they have chosen another actress to play the role. By sharing the news on her Instagram stories, Rylan expressed her disappointment. She wrote, “Yes, it is true. General Hospital has decided to recast Lulu. Although I am very disappointed with their choice, I am glad to finally have closure.”

This news came as a shock to the actress, who had been hopeful and excited about returning to the role she had played for years. It also surprised her devoted fanbase, who had been eagerly anticipating her return to Port Charles. Anyway, we still don’t know who will play the new Lulu. The official GH team is yet to confirm this, but we hope a new chapter awaits Lulu when she wakes up from her coma.

Jophielle Love Returns As Violet

Meanwhile, Jophielle Love will return as Violet Finn for a single episode to share scenes with Jane Elliot’s Tracy. Violet is facing a challenging situation as her father, Dr. Hamilton Finn, decides to leave for rehab. Her life has been heart-wrenching recently, and she is now being cared for by Chase and Brooke. Jophielle Love has been playing the beloved Violet Finn since 2019.

Violet was last seen asking Sasha why everyone is leaving her. The character, born in 2017, is the daughter of Michael Easton’s Dr. Finn and Kirsten Dunst’s Hayden Barnes. For a long time, Violet was kept hidden from her biological father when Hayden left Port Charles, falsely claiming the baby had not survived.

This secret was eventually revealed, and Violet grew closer to her father after her mother left again. However, following the death of her grandfather Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison), Dr. Finn turned to alcohol. Violet, deeply concerned, found him in a drunken state several times, which ultimately led him to seek rehab for recovery.
