Meri, who recently announced on Sister Wives that she wasn’t going remain silent about what was happening in her marriage to Kody despite him asking her to, has been tough to get behind for years. Though she has always been the most hopeful of Kody’s wives about rekindling their romance, the spark between herself and her husband has been out for nearly a decade since Meri’s very public catfishing scandal.

In a clip from Sister Wives season 18, episode 11 (courtesy of TLC on Instagram), Meri shared that she and Kody had gone out for their 32nd wedding anniversary when he dropped a bomb on her about the state of their relationship. Kody shared that he has “no desire to have a relationship with [her]…he said, ‘Don’t you understand, Meri?
