While Sister Wives fans watched Season 18 unfold, they saw the plural marriage unhinge before their eyes. Although the premise of the show was to allow the world to see the benefits of how plural marriage could be a beautiful thing, Kody Brown and his four wives didn’t make it. Over time, added stressors took their toll on the family unit and caused a division that ended with Kody and Robyn Brown in a monogamous marriage. But are they truly soulmates?
Kody Brown Seemingly Finds His Soulmate
Although Kody Brown and Meri had built their family, starting with their union in 1990, unfortunately, it didn’t stand the test of time. In the first season of Sister Wives, Kody was in a plural marriage with Meri, Janelle, and Christine. Then he giddily wanted to add a new wife, Robyn. But fast forward to Season 18, the castle crumbles with all wives leaving Kody, except the gold wife, Robyn who was portrayed as his soulmate. They spoke of each other like they were madly in love. Admittedly, the other three former wives also saw there was a deeper connection between the two that catapulted Kody into a cycle of favoritism. But with no other wives to cause interference, has Kody decided Robyn isn’t his true soulmate?
Fans Are Suspicious Of Robyn Truly Being Kody Brown’s Soulmate
On Reddit, one Sister Wives fan opens a thread saying, “Are Sobyn and Ramenhead actually soulmates?” Then follows up with, “I’ve seen so many people go back and forth if they’re actually soulmates. What do you all think?!” Afterward, the person offered a survey to poll the other user’s opinions. When the voting concluded, fans determined that as a matter of fact, Robyn is NOT Kody Brown’s soulmate.
Kody Brown’s #1 Person
While the results might be shocking to some Sister Wives fans, the truth lies in the choices that were given about Kody Brown. When you look closely at the voting poll out of 675 votes, only 99 believe that Robyn is his true soulmate. But as you look further you see that the other categories are the reason.
- 99 people or 14.7% voted: “Yes, they’re soulmates.”
- 95 people or 14% voted: “No, they’re not soulmates.”
- 99 people or 14.7% voted: “Soulmates don’t exist.”

382 people or 56.6% voted: “Kody’s only soulmate is Kody.”
Notably, it is hard to disagree that Kody Brown wouldn’t put himself first on the list.

After the poll, many Reddit users had lots to say about Sister Wives stars, Robyn and Kody Brown.
- “Their forms of crazy complement each other and they’re codependent.”
- “Kody’s soulmate is the Morrocan hair oil he uses.”
- “He told you why he values her so much. He ‘thought’ she as desired by others and he was the one to capture her. This broke, broke-down, uneducated, selfish mom of three sold him the story of all stories and he bought it hook, line, and sinker. He thinks she is of value and others are jealous he has her. I think his rose-colored glasses will fall off soon enough. He has yet to take an unfiltered look at his ‘prize’. But when the bills start piling up and she adds the same ‘nothing’ that she has always added to their resources; he might want to take a look at Alice. Then look at Robyn. So little difference between them at this point.”
Soulmates Must Have Souls
Another Sister Wives fan points out that Kody Brown is missing a key component to be a soulmate.
- “The idea of soulmates is an interesting concept. But regardless, it implies that you have a soul and are spiritually aware enough and mature enough to be a spiritual as well as physical being. One look at Kody and clearly, he is nowhere near that level of balance in his life.”
