Janelle Brown, FAMILY ANGRY OVER RELEASE of MEMORIAL PICS, Meri DEFENDS KODY SLAMS FANS Blaming Him
Janelle Brown Talks Faith & Eternal Life After Garrison’s Death
Janelle Brown made a post reflecting on her faith in the midst of grieving the loss of her son, Garrison. As she spent some time with her daughter and grandchildren over the weekend, the Sister Wives star expressed how grateful she was and how important her faith has been. Keep reading to see what she had to say about this revelation.
Janelle Brown Shares That She Is Grateful For Her Faith
On Easter Sunday, Janelle shared a couple of photos of her daughter, Maddie Brush, and her three grandkids on the beach in North Carolina.
“Happy Easter everyone!” she wrote in the caption. “I have been even more grateful for my faith this year. The remembrance of the Savior and His gift of eternal life.”
She shared that she decided to spend the holiday weekend with her daughter at the beach in NC. They live-streamed a church service and spent the day flying kites.
Updates from Janelle Brown have been scarce since the news of her son’s death broke in early March. Garrison Brown, 25, died on March 4. He was discovered in his Arizona home by his younger brother Gabriel Brown. Garrison took his own life.
At the time, Janelle and her ex-husband Kody Brown shared a joint statement via Instagram to inform fans of Garrison’s passing. Since then, she has shared several messages and posts about her late son.
The Sister Wives Family Gathered To Celebrate Garrison
Over the weekend, she shared some snapshots of a flag folding ceremony held in Garrison’s honor. The photos showed a heartbroken Janelle Brown surrounded by family.
“It’s been hard to get my brain to work properly again. I am so grateful for the out pouring of love and support I’ve received these last three weeks. The support has been overwhelming,” Janelle wrote in the caption. “I am honored… Garrison was honored by family members and by his National Guard Unit last Sunday at a celebration of life ceremony. He would have loved it.”
Janelle also addressed some of the “snarky” comments that she said she’d seen online about her son’s memorial. The Brown family has been estranged since Janelle, Meri, and Christine Brown chose to leave Kody. His only remaining relationship is with Robyn Brown.
It has been well documented that Garrison Brown and Kody’s relationship was rocky, at best. Janelle Brown brought up the fact that Garrison was estranged from his father when police reported to the scene when his body was discovered. She felt it was part of the reason he was so depressed. The Sister Wives star said she wished she would have reached out to get him help earlier.
Despite their strained relationships, Meri, Christine, Robyn, and Kody Brown all attended the memorial service for Garrison Brown. The majority of the family’s 18 children were in attendance as well.
