Janelle Brown Breaks Down In Tears, Admits Depression
In a new Sister Wives trailer dropped hours ago, Janelle Brown crumbles into tears. She tells everyone she is depressed. She also feels trapped. Trapped in plural marriage with no way out financially. Janelle explains her situation is very different from Christine’s because Christine’s house was in her name. So, she was able to sell the house and use the money to get out. Janelle, however, doesn’t have a house.
In fact, Janelle shares that everything her name is attached to also has the name of someone else in the family. And, she feels like she’s in a place where no one is going to play ball to help her.
Becoming even more emotional, Janelle Brown shares that she never thought she would be forced to choose between Kody and her children. She asks what kind of person would pose that question. Moreover, Janelle continues to cry as she says she doesn’t recognize the man she’s married to. The mean man she calls her husband. She recognizes it is possible this is always the type of man he was. But, it didn’t use to be this way.
Kody Brown Says She’s The Mean One
According to Kody Brown, he just wants to have a civil conversation with Janelle Brown. He, however, can’t seem to do that without her telling him to “f*ck off.” Kody insists he isn’t looking for an apology or for someone to be right and someone to be wrong. He just wants to sit down and have a civil conversation with her. And, he can’t. Kody explains that from his point of view, she is being the mean and nasty one by cursing him out.
Is This Financial Abuse?
During the clip, Janelle Brown claims she feels stupid because she allowed herself to get into this mess. In the comments, her followers argue that Janelle is a lot of things but she’s not stupid. Some fans add that what she describes feels like financial abuse.
Many Sister Wives fans tell her to consider writing a tell-all book. Other fans chimed in to agree she would make a killing as fans would flock to buy the book. Unfortunately, an NDA with TLC likely prevents this from being something Janelle could even think about doing.
There were even some fans who accused Robyn and Kody of financial abuse for the way they were treating Janelle.
Overall, fans were heartbroken watching Janelle spiral into a deep sadness. And, they hoped she was about to find a way to break away and find happiness again.
‘Sister Wives’ Star Janelle Brown, 54, Believed Her Skin Cancer Was Just Scarring From Cold Sores Before Actual Diagnosis
After 30 years, “Sister Wives” reality TV star Janelle Brown, 54, has called it quits with Kody Brown, 54, and is now focusing on her six children and a real estate agent career. This renewed outlook on life comes on the heels of her overcoming an unexpected bout with basal cell carcinoma, a type of skin cancer she once thought was an unsuspecting scar.
Janelle Brown is one of four women featured on the “Sister Wives” TLC reality show. Four women are all “married” to Kody Brown, and they all have 18 children. On the show, Janelle and Kody would have frequent marital problems, and she revealed the two were “spiritually” married but never legally married.
The two dissolved their relationship at the end of 2021, but earlier that year, Janelle had a secondary storyline on the show that focused on scarring on her upper lip.
“Many of you have been noticing and reaching out to me about the blemish above my lip on the new episodes,” Janelle wrote on her Instagram, addressing the issue.
“I am posting this picture hopefully for awareness,” she added, showing her with a bandage covering her upper lip.
The real estate agent turned reality star was diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma.
Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is the most common form of skin cancer, with an estimated 3.6 million cases diagnosed each year in the U.S., according to the Skin Cancer Foundation.
BCC is highly treatable if found early. This form of skin cancer “tends to grow slowly” and “seldom spreads to another part of the body,” the American Academy of Dermatology Association says. It can appear as red, pink, brown, black, or gray spots on the skin. The spots can be sensitive to touch and become itchy or numb.
“At first, I thought it was a new cold sore forming, but then it never developed and just stayed,” Janelle Brown wrote.
“Over the next year or so, it slowly increased in size. I started treating it with every scar medication I could find, thinking it was my body reacting to the years of trauma to that area of my face,” she continued in her post.
Upon her diagnosis, the skin cancer was non-malignant (non-cancerous). However, she still had it removed.
“All is well,” she added, following a successful procedure.
