General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) recently decided to accept the nonprofit spokesperson position that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) told her about. Drew obviously has a good feeling about what Willow is signing up for, but could a curveball be brewing in this storyline?
We can’t help but notice that the New Tomorrow Institute is a strange name that sounds awfully shady!
Many fans have been piping up about this on social media and pointing out that they’re getting Dawn of Day vibes.
GH fans may recall that Dawn of Day was the cult that Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) ran.
Willow got stuck in that cult for quite some time thanks to Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel), but she finally escaped and built a better life for herself in Port Charles.
However, it’s odd for Willow to be joining a nonprofit with a name that celebrates a new tomorrow when the cult she got out of highlighted the dawn of a new day, too. Could there be some sort of link here?
It might be interesting if the people running this nonprofit had ties to Shiloh and were hoping to continue his legacy following his demise.
Then again, maybe Willow is being targeted for revenge.
Shiloh no doubt left behind plenty of followers who perhaps blame Willow for everything falling apart at Dawn of Day.
If someone wants to set a trap for Willow, it makes sense to create a bogus nonprofit with a spokesperson position that seems tailor-made for her.
It also makes sense to trick someone Willow trusts like Drew into approaching her about the idea.
This could be a situation where once Willow gets sucked into all this, she’ll see that things aren’t quite as they seem at the New Tomorrow Institute.
Maybe Nina could even see the first warning signs of that when she starts doing research for her Crimson story.
That could give Nina and Willow a chance to do some investigating as a mother-daughter duo.
Drew could naturally be part of all that as well and grow closer to Nina as they both work to protect Willow from any threat that might still be out there.
Of course, it’s possible the writers simply thought the New Tomorrow Institute sounded important and optimistic.
This may not be leading to any big shockers, but it’s at least worth considering the idea that this nonprofit has creepy connections!
