Liam Takes A Hard Fall, Fans Fear He’s Dead
Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) hasn’t been seen much on The Bold & The Beautiful in the last few years. The actor won three Daytime Emmys for his portrayal of the beloved character. However, the writers continually put Liam on the back burner.
He was front and center for an episode this week where he faced off with his father, Bill (Don Diamont.) The two argued over Bill protecting Luna (Lisa Yamad) after her heinous crimes. Liam called his dad’s bluff and quit his job at the family company.
The confrontation ended with Bill telling Liam not to be there when he got back from a meeting. Liam had no intention of remaining in the house any longer, but his vision went blurry, and he hit his head when he fell to the floor.
Is Scott Clifton Leaving B&B?
The cliffhanger left viewers wondering if Liam was dead. He did take a nasty hit on the head. However, the show hasn’t given any indication that Scott Clifton has been let go, even if he isn’t used as much as fans would like.
Soaps.com speculated that Liam would wake up from the fall and have amnesia. Or the show is kicking off some kind of medical crisis storyline since Liam’s vision went blurry right before he fell.
Fans Want To See Him Back On General Hospital
Scott Clifton played Dillon Quartermaine on General Hospital at the height of the show’s teen scene storylines. Dillon was in a teen romance with Georgie Jones (played by Lindze Letherman.) The couple briefly married but Scott Clifton left the show in 2007. Georgie was murdered by The Text Message Killer later that year.
Robert Palmer Watkins briefly stepped into the role of Dillon from 2015 to 2017, but fans still want Scott Clifton to reprise the role. Now would be the perfect time. The Quartermaine family is front and center, especially Dillon’s mom, Tracy (Jane Elliot.)
But unless things have changed, the actor has no plans to return to his old stomping grounds. He said as much in an interview with Michael Fairman in 2011.
“I would come back to GH if they wanted me. But I don’t feel any desire to return to GH because I feel proud of what I was able to do over there at that point in my career,” Scott Clifton said. In addition to his three Daytime Emmys for playing Liam, the actor received three nominations for his portrayal of Dillon Quartermaine.
“At this point, it would be hard and confusing for me to reprise Dillon at this stage,” he told Michael Fairman.
But fans would love to see the character return for the upcoming tribute to Monica Quartermaine after actress Leslie Charleson passed away earlier this year.
