Has TLC pulled the plug on My Big Fat Fabulous Life? All reality television shows must come to an end eventually. MBFFL has been on the network since 2015 — is its time finally over?
TLC notoriously keeps cancelations and renewals quiet up until the last possible second. If MBFFL has officially been canceled, fans might not know for quite some time.
Read on to see what viewers think might be happening behind the scenes.
My Big Fat Fabulous Life Viewers Wonder If TLC Canceled The Series
So far, neither Whitney Way Thore nor TLC have spoken up about MBFFL’s formal end. But even so, that hasn’t stopped fans from speculating.
“I read on Instagram that My Big Fat Fabulous Life was canceled,” a viewer wrote on Reddit recently. “Has anyone else heard this? I googled it, but can’t find anything other than no plans for next season have been released.”
Ultimately, no one else seemed to have any answers about MBFFL‘s fate on TLC. However, plenty of viewers had opinions about the show’s future.
Comments from other Redditors included:
- “I was asked to do a random HBO survey recently and it was filled with questions about MBFFL specifically. I felt that meant they were trying to [gauge] continued interest in her show among HBO subscribers who watch TLC via their app.”
- “We can only hope! This last season was boring as crap and I fast-forwarded through almost all of it”
- “Whitney has said that she is in negotiations for Season 13. 🤷♂️”
- “People are probably just baselessly speculating.”
Fans Really Weren’t Impressed With This Season’s Content
My Big Fat Fabulous Life fans loved getting to meet Angie and Jaime, Glenn’s long-lost daughter and granddaughter. This season, they watched Jaime prepare to walk down the aisle. But the lead-up was incredibly uncomfortable for many.
During Jaime’s bachelorette party, fans thought Whitney behaved incredibly inappropriately and crossed many of her niece’s personal boundaries.
On top of that, viewers thought Whitney spent too much time ruminating on the fact she’s 40 and unmarried. Online, they frequently discussed how Whitney’s bad attitude took away from Jaime’s special day.
Overall, most agreed that Season 12 wasn’t a good look for the TLC star and they won’t tune in for another season.
