Heartbreaking Update!đMeri Suffers Devastating Family Loss
Sister Wives star Meri Brown has shared a heartbreaking tribute to her brother Adam Barber as she revealed he has died after being diagnosed with cancer.
Taking to Instagram on Friday, the 52-year-old said her brother died on Tuesday, just five weeks after he decided to stop his chemotherapy treatment. Meri said he stopped the treatment due to the ârapid progression of his cancer & deterioration of his body.â
Adam, who died just two months before his 55th birthday, has been remembered by his sister for his âkindness and loveâ.
Meri also said she has âso many good memoriesâ with her brother. Speaking about Adamâs cancer diagnosis, Meri said it âhit me like a ton of bricksâ as she was also reminded of the deaths of her other siblings.

âAfter his passing, I would be the one remaining from the original four,â she revealed. âWe lost Teresa, our sister just younger than me, to cancer in 2006. We lost our oldest brother Marc to heart issues in 2015. Now Adam to another type of cancer. That leaves me.â
Meri added: âNow, I understand that itâs not just me. I still have three younger sisters with us, the seven of us just momâs kids. Plus many other siblings from our large family structure.
I donât yet understand why his passing, and leaving me as the one remaining of the original four, is impacting me like it is.â
She speculated that their deaths are impacting her as they were the only siblings born before their parents âbegan their lives as a plural familyâ. She also suggested it was because they were closer in age than she is to her other siblings.

The TLC reality star continued: âRegardless, (and you have no idea how bad I want to type in âirregardlessâ there, in honor of him & our many arguments about whether that is even a word) I will move forward living, loving, forgiving, remembering.â Speaking about Adam, she said: âThe relationship I had with him taught me many things, and I have no doubt will continue to teach me things.
âI remain open to those lessons & look forward to them with anticipation. For now, I remember him with honor, kindness, & love.â
Fans have been offering their condolences, with one person commenting:
âBeautiful tribute to your brother and other siblings also. I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you, and your family.â
Another said: âIâm so sorry for your loss. We lost my dad 4 weeks ago to cancer as well. Keeping you in my prayers,â while a third fan added: âI am so incredibly sorry to read about the loss of your brother.
You have had so much change and loss the past few years. And yet, you smile, remain upbeat and are kind about others.â
