Hatred Blinded Sonny – K.ill.ed Jason’s Closest Relatives! General Hospital Spoilers
General Hospital Spoilers Recap: Monday, April 22 – Nina Signs Divorce Papers & Surrenders Sonny to Ava
General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, April 22, reveals that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) ranted about Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) turning down his help along with everyone else’s and then suddenly allowing Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) to buy her half of the Metro Court for her.
Carly argued that Jason’s offer was genuine, but Sonny’s offer was about his own guilt over ending up with Nina Corinthos (Cynthia Watros). Sonny accused Carly of rewriting history when she rehashed how things went down.
After Sonny ranted about Jason trying to take him out and working with the feds, Carly defended Jason since Sonny was still alive and out of prison.
Although Carly tried to defend Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) as well, Sonny refused to see them as anything but traitors.
Once Carly and Sonny both admitted they didn’t recognize each other anymore, Sonny made it clear this was the end of the road for their longtime bond.
Carly suggested they’d concentrate on their separate lives from now on, so Sonny was fine with that. Out of all the people he thought would abandon him, Sonny pointed out he never thought Carly would.
In Nina’s office on Monday’s GH episode, she briefly considered trying to void the contract she signed under false pretenses, but she ultimately opted to let it go.
Instead, Nina gave Madison (Virginia Ma) some advice about not trusting treacherous people who claim to be your friends when they have their own agendas.
Once Ava Jerome (Maura West) showed up claiming she had no idea Sonny would react that way about Jason, Nina refused to believe her. The whole thing left Nina wondering how long Ava had been playing her for a fool.
Nina suggested this might go all the way back to when Ava gave her a nudge to turn Carly and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) in for insider trading.
After Nina brought up Ava’s long-term stay in Sonny’s penthouse, she suggested Nina liked being at the center of Sonny’s circle of trust.
Nina assumed Sonny wouldn’t react well if she told him that Ava was the mastermind of the SEC drama and had kept quiet this entire time.
Ava argued that Nina could tell Sonny that news and about her pushing Nina’s Metro Court sale to Jason, but she didn’t think Sonny would believe her since she was a desperate traitor in his eyes.
Ava insisted she was the one who had Sonny’s respect and that she understood him in a way that Nina never could. Nina grilled Ava about her endgame and suspected this was Nina’s way of getting Sonny for herself.
After Nina signed the divorce papers, she said Sonny was all Ava’s. Ava took the papers and left looking a bit rattled.
Once Nina flashed back through her love story with Sonny, she took off her wedding ring set and gave it to Madison so she could have them sent to Sonny’s penthouse.
At Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) penthouse, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) expressed concern over how close Ava was getting to Sonny. Sam pointed out that Kristina couldn’t control who Sonny let into his life.
After Jason talked to Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) at his place, he took his son back home. Sam was livid over Danny sneaking off to see Jason after being forbidden to do so.
Kristina offered to take Danny out for a cup of coffee while Jason and Sam talked, so Danny reluctantly went with his aunt.
Once they were alone, Jason tried to convince Sam that keeping Danny at a distance wasn’t working.
Although Jason had some good ideas about setting boundaries, Sam was still concerned about him bringing danger to Danny’s life.
Meanwhile, Danny opened up to Kristina about the drama between his parents and made it clear that he wouldn’t give up on Jason.
At The Savoy, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) helped Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) get ready for Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) bachelorette party.
Lois had some great suggestions for product names and was quite knowledgeable as they talked about Deception’s skincare line.
Once Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) helped Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) bring in some party favor bags, Lois pushed her to attend the bachelorette bash and bridal shower gathering.
Josslyn declined since she was going to meet up with Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) for dinner, but Lois insisted they could come afterward.
After Drew dropped off some stuff for the party, Willow quizzed him about swimming lessons for Amelia Corinthos (Siobhan) and admitted her concerns.
Drew reassured Willow based on his experience with Scout Cain (Cosette Abinante) since she learned to swim when she was quite young, too.
Once Drew admitted he’d been spending more time with Nina because of Crimson, he pointed out that she’d been mentioning Willow and the kids a lot.
Drew just thought Willow would want to know, so he left her looking pensive.
General Hospital spoilers say there may still be hope for Willow and Nina’s reconnection, so stick with us for updates on their fractured relationship and predictions on what’ll happen moving forward.
