When MBFFL fans first heard about a secret sibling for Hunter and Whitney Way Thore, they assumed that TLC would bring in a half-brother from Asia. Social media leaks had it that he was birthed by Keiko while Hunter’s dad was with the military. To their surprise, My Big Fat Fabulous Life fans saw that there was a secret daughter named Angie. Her mom, Jackie, fell pregnant in Florida before Glenn’s deployment to Asia.
Rumors suggested that Jackie lived with Glenn Thore’s aunt Kim until she gave birth to her child. Three months later, the baby was adopted. Later, Jackie passed away. According to the show, Angie’s family reached out to Whitney’s dad conveniently soon after his wife, Babs, passed away. My Big Fat Fabulous Life fans are convinced that Babs refused to allow Glenn any contact with his daughter. Now, they wonder if Glenn kept in touch with Angie ever since her birth.

MBFFL fans on Reddit still harbor many suspicions about the validity of the way TLC presented the tale of Angie. So, an OP threw out a theory that seems plausible.
Glen knew about Angie most of her life..There is no way Babs and Glen didn’t know everything about Angie. ‘Conveniently’ Glen and Angie find each other right after Babs’ passing. I would place a bet that Babs stopped Angie coming into the family fold, and Glen had a ‘secret’ relationship with Angie without WWT and Hunter knowing. Babs passes and Glen says fu$k it, life’s going the way I want it now, and introduces both sides of the family. Babs portrayed herself as a southern lady, her divorce and her husbands child out of wedlock would have ruined it all. Everything was SO comfortable when they stayed at the rental house in Alabama, and if you didn’t know each other, you would have stayed somewhere else. I do think however WWT and Hunter believe they have just been found!

- I think it’s HILARIOUS that so many viewers just buy whatever BigWhit and TLC say is true. 95% of what they air is bullsh-t. We know this already. I doubt very much BigWhit, Hunter, Glenn, etc. would have agreed to telling the truth about this situation knowing how ugly and messy it is. Babs was no saint, and it’s pretty clear Glenn isn’t either.
- I thought the same thing, very convenient timing with Babs passing. Something tells me Babs didn’t want to take the chance that “people might talk” and made Glen keep it quiet.
- I’m not sure at what point Glenn and Angie reconnected but, I agree it’s very suspicious that it just happens to be after Babs passing when Whitney desperately needs new content for the show.
- It’s so obvious, so why they even speak about Babs when Angie and her family are around is just baffling to me.
