Glenn was serving somewhere in Pensacola when he met Angie’s mother, Jackie. The two young souls instantly connected, sparking a romance akin to the love stories featured in vintage spy movies. Glenn and Jackie dated briefly and got intimate. However, the American man’s job pushed him away from her, leading to their breakup. Glenn left Jackie soon after their short-lived relationship. He had no idea that she was pregnant with his child. Glenn learned about Jackie’s pregnancy when he was in Japan. He couldn’t do anything about it due to his job.

When Jackie’s mother learned about her daughter’s pregnancy, things got extremely tense. She didn’t know what to do next, so she put her teenage daughter in a girls’ home. Jackie and Glenn’s daughter Angie was born in the girls’ home, and put up for adoption soon after. The baby was taken in by another family and had a nice upbringing.

During episode 7 of My Big Fat Fabulous Life season 11, Whitney, Hunter, and Glenn visited Angie and her family in Alabama. They got along well, instantly embracing each other as relatives. Angie also accepted Glenn as a father figure. However, she claimed she wouldn’t call him dad, as she uses that term to describe the man who raised her, Bill.

Glenn certainly seems like the culprit in this family drama. After all, he got a teenage girl pregnant and left her on her own. He did so for the sake of his career. However, Glenn doesn’t deserve all the blame for doing what he did. Like Angie’s mother Jackie, Glenn was also young and unprepared to be a father. By the time Glenn matured enough to be a proper father to Angie, it was too late. She had probably been adopted, so he moved on.

Glenn knew he had a daughter, but he was consumed with growing his family with his lovely wife, Babs Thore. The North Carolina man didn’t try to find Angie, and decided not to tell his kids about her. Glenn made that choice to keep his life stable, but he robbed Whitney and Hunter of years with their half-sister. As a result, Whitney grew up without knowing that she had a biological sister. Thankfully, she’s met her now, and the two seem to have a good connection. While it’s a shame that they weren’t close earlier, they can enjoy their time together now.

There are a few possible reasons why Glenn may have hidden the truth about having a daughter. However, the most obvious reason is that he was focused on Babs, Whitney, Hunter, and other relatives. Glenn has been an honorable man for his entire life. He has worked hard to give his family members a good life. Not only do people respect him, but they feel that he’s an excellent and admirable role model. The My Big Fat Fabulous Life star’s a nice guy who valued his wife, Babs.

Since Glenn has such a great reputation, it would have been hard for him to discuss his past life with his wife, daughter, and son. He may have felt ashamed of himself for not being around Angie. It’s also possible that Glenn was afraid of telling the truth. He may have thought it would ruin his image in front of his family. Glenn wanted to be a great husband to Babs (and a great father to Whitney) for as long as he could. Therefore, he was trying to focus on one part of his life without discussing the other.

Glenn’s actions caused Whitney and Angie to lose out on relationships that might’ve grown over the last three decades. The two women are basically strangers when they could have built something greater together. Thankfully, neither Whitney nor Angie have anything bad to say about Glenn, who hid the truth. Instead, they are happy to get acquainted. The two sisters are creating a bond, based on their scenes in the latest episodes of My Big Fat Fabulous Life. They plan to get closer through the coming years.

During episode 7, Angie and Whitney shared numerous heartfelt moments. At one point, Angie hugged her reality star sister, saying she could relate to her grief over losing Babs. Whitney and Angie have already started on a good note, and want to continue being by each other’s side. They have planned another meet-up, as Whitney has invited her sister and her niece to North Carolina.

Angie and Whitney will certainly overcome the years of sisterhood they’ve lost. The only thing Glenn’s concerned about is Whitney’s competitive nature, which might ruin her relationship with her much younger niece and nephews. Hopefully, the new season of My Big Fat Fabulous Life will end on a positive note.
