‘MBFFL’ Todd Beasley Offers Further Proof The Show Is Scripted
Recently, My Big Fat Fabulous Life star, Todd Beasley, offered fans a little tidbit that further proves that the show isn’t all “reality.” While there have been suspicions that the long-running show might be cooking up some of the on-camera scenes, now Todd gives his experience.
Todd Beasley And Whitney Way Thore’s Close Friendship
Long-time friend and dance partner Todd Beasley has been with Whitney Way Thore since My Big Fat Fabulous Life began. Undoubtedly, the duo has moments where the friendship is trying, Todd keeps showing up for Whit. Although they have worked through plenty of misunderstandings on camera, now Todd offers proof not everything on the show is as it appears.
Todd Beasley Confirms Producers Manipulate The Situation
On Reddit, My Big Fat Fabulous Life fans discuss Todd Beasley and some answers he provides. Initially, one fan opens the conversation saying, “Even Todd being late is scripted.” Then they follow with an Instagram screenshot. Furthermore saying, “Todd hasn’t posted on Instagram since 2019. But, he still checks his account and has liked/replied to comments on his post since then. This was only a few months ago, Todd states that the show purposefully gives him the wrong time to show up to make things more interesting on the show.” Within the screen grab, one person calls out Todd for always being late to the show. Defensively he lets them know that he isn’t late. However, emphatically he states if he was, it was due to the times producers purposely would tell him the wrong start time just for effects.
Fans Give Their Thoughts
Several My Big Fat Fabulous Life fans give their thoughts on what Todd Beasley has to say.
- “I believe him. He was a professional dancer at one point. They don’t miss their call times.”
- “Honestly I believed him. He looked genuinely shocked and confused when he was told he was late.”
- “Justice for Todd.”
- “Todd, we are ALL going to buy your tell-all when your NDA expires!”
- Moreso, fans think Todd Beasley is telling the truth. “I 100% believe him. he’s a theater kid! it’s drilled into your brain that if you’re on time, you’re late. there’s no way, besides the occasional traffic jam or getting lost in something else, he would be late. theater kids are not late!!!”
- “Whenever Whitney says the show is ‘not scripted, just edited’ we now have direct evidence that isn’t truthful from one of the main stars of the show.”
Other Suspicions Of MBFFL Not Being Reality
Previously, My Big Fat Fabulous Life fans pointed out past evidence that the show scripts scenes instead of truly being reality TV. Now, more fans have examples.
- Furthermore, another fan brings in more evidence. Saying, “Ha, I totally read that in Todd’s voice. In season 10, when they’re filming that monstrosity of a ‘workout’ video, Whit asks if Todd is here. We then hear, clear as day, Todd himself (offscreen) saying ‘No Todd’. At that point I realized production had to be trolling us at least a little.”
- But another astute fan disagrees. They question, “I didn’t hear this! and didn’t we watch him park?” To which the fan replies, “Oh right, but I suppose they could have filmed the parking scene earlier then edited it in later to make him seem late. MBFFL producers LOVE to manufacture mundane drama. Especially if it makes Todd look ‘bad’.”
Todd Beasley Gets The Raw End Of The Deal
Another fan brings up the “shared” birthday party from the last season. After Todd Beasley shows up, he is blindsided by a party he believed was a joint celebration for Whitney Way Thore and himself. However, the day is sole focus was on Whit and Todd is was visibly showing frustration about the scenario. Additionally, another fan has begun to feel bad for Todd through the years.
- “I honestly thought Todd was always a jerk but the most I age and also rewatch I realize how horrible of a friend Whitney is and I don’t doubt this at allllllll. Also… she basically stole business from him, if not half a business and she would’ve never had her start without him
I’m glad he relies with all the snark 😘.”
