Ever since it was announced that Bryan Craig would be returning to General Hospital, fans have been eagerly awaiting that episode, which still currently does not have an air date. However, they don’t have to wait that long to see the Emmy-winning actor on their TV screens again because he has a new movie premiering on Friday, July 19! “Can’t wait for you to meet my new character, Leslie,” Craig enthused on Instagram. “He’s a real piece of [crap]. Enjoy!”
Spread stars Elizabeth Gillies (Fallon, Dynasty) as Ruby, an aspiring journalist who is forced to take a job at a popular porn magazine which naturally changes her, the magazine, and the industry! Craig plays the character of Leslie, who calls himself the ‘unofficial official features editor” at the magazine. The comedy’s cast also includes Harvey Keitel, Teri Polo, and Deidrich Bader. Spread premieres on Friday, July 19, on Tubi, where fans can stream it for free with ads.
Following his 2013-16 run as Morgan Corinthos on GH, Craig has enjoyed an eclectic series of roles in film and primetime including Sergeant Adam Coogan on Valor, Javi Mendoza on Grand Hotel, Ryan in American Fighter, Mateo in Women Is Losers, and Richard in That’s Amor. Spread will be the first time his fans will be able to enjoy him in a wacky comedy.
After GH executive producer Frank Valentini teased the return of an actor to the soap that fans would love, Craig fed into the speculation by teasing fans on social media, including sharing a photo from the GH set. While that big return turned out to be Jonathan Jackson reprising his role of Lucky Spencer, it was also announced that Craig would be returning for another one-off appearance like his 2018 return for the Ava-centric episode where she was haunted by ghosts from her past.
