Soap actress Tamara Braun announced on April 1st that she was leaving Days Of Our Lives after nearly two decades. Sadly for fans, it wasn’t an April Fool’s Day joke. But it could be a win for GH viewers who want the actress back as Kim Nero. Would Kim help Drew Cain or help bring him down?
Tamara Braun Exits Days Of Our Lives
Tamara Braun joined Days of Our Lives as mob princess Ava Vitali in 2008. She won a Best Supporting Actress Daytime Emmy for the role in 2009. But it seems the Peacock soap ran out of ideas of what to do with the character.
The actress revealed on social media earlier this month that she had been let go from the show again. She was heartbroken over the news. And Days fans aren’t happy about it either. They took to social media to call out the soap for firing the talented actress.
- “It just sucks how the show treated Ava. She wasn’t a legacy character or anything like that, but Tamara Braun most certain”y should’ve been treated as a leading character and deserved better material.”
- “I am hoping the new writers will find a good time for a true villain and bring her back at her black heart best in a story that really lets Ava be Ava.”
- “Ava was a mob boss and she could handle anything so to not be able to get free and then act like she was afraid of her later made no sense to me.”
- “She’s a very talented actress. I hope to see her again on Days of Our Lives or General Hospital.”
Ava left town to move to Hong Kong, but she might return to Salem someday. In the meantime, GH fans think it is the perfect time for Dr. Kim Nero to come back to Port Charles.
Will She Return To ABC?
Tamara Braun joined General Hospital as Dr. Kim Nero in 2017. The character was the mother of Josslyn’s (Eden McCoy) love interest, Oscar (Garren Stitt). As Soap Hub recalls, Oscar’s dad was later revealed to be Drew Cain, then played by late actor Billy Miller.
Drew was presumed dead when Kim left town, but the character is alive and kicking with a new actor, Cameron Mathison, in the role.
Before playing Kim Nero, Tamara Braun was the second Carly after Sarah Joy Brown left the role. Laura Wright has played Carly for years now, so it’s unlikely the show would recast with Tamara Braun at this point.
Instead, GH fans want to see her return as Kim Nero. Drew could certainly use a friendly face right now.
GH Fans Want Drew To Suffer
Drew Cain has been getting hit from all sides lately. His affair with Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) became public and hurt his political career. Now Drew is feuding with his family. The Quartermaines weren’t happy when Drew tried to demolish the family crypt.
Drew is on the fast track to get his comeuppance. If Kim Nero returns, will she be there to help Drew or help bring him down?
