General Hospital fans recently saw the return of James Patrick Stuart as Valentin Cassadine to Port Charles. The character has already had a complicated history on the soap. With his recent return, some fans suspect one character in particular could be in danger.
James Patrick Stuart Has Played Valentin Cassadine On & Off Since 2016
Stuart has played the character since 2016. Valentin was designed to serve as long-lost member of the Cassadine family, presented as one of the most evil Cassadine sons.
Interestingly, the character has a complicated development. The idea of developing the long-lost member of the Cassadine family was in the works since 2009. Around that time, the soap saw Helena Cassadine share a warning about his evil stepson, who had been disowned by his father.
However, it would take years for Valentin to actually be introduced. In fact, Stuart was originally introduced on the soap as a fisherman named Theo Hart before revealing himself to be Valentin.
As previously reported, Valentin returned to the soap back in late December. The character had originally left Port Charles in July 2024 with his daughter, Charlotte, to avoid being convicted for scapegoat for Pikeman’s activities. Since his return, Charlotte’s mother, Lulu, woke up from a four-year coma and was set on reuniting with her daughter.
A Recent Spa Trip Could Prove Deadly For Brennan On General Hospital
Recent events suggest that another character could be in danger now that Valentin has returned to the soap. As seen in the January 28 episode, Valentin was able to track Jack Brennan to a Baden Baden spa.
At this time, Valentin blames Brennan for past betrayals, effectively treating him as a scapegoat for Pikeman. With his return to Port Charles, Valentin is now set on getting his revenge.
At the spa, Valentin found Brennan lying down on a message table. Using a fake accent, one of his trademarks, Valentin offered his enemy a hot towel, tightening cords in his hands. As noted by Soap Opera Digest, “It seemed like he was on a mission to kill the man, not knead away the tension from his muscles!”
However, there is something that could save Brennan in time. Carly is expected to visit Brennan at the spa, and could possibly interrupt Valentin’s plans.
In fact, even if Carly doesn’t arrive in time, another character could always arrive in time to intervene. However, even if Valentin’s current revenge plan falls through, he could always move onto another one.
